1. This isn't the Bronco's first rodeo even the clowns will be running for the fence !
2. You got me cornfused on that one Speveto ?///////  ive been around for a little while and i still dint know the meaning of the word "BUMP"  can someone help me.  i think it as "cool" to just say "BUMP"//// as opposed to" bump" or bumping your message back to the top !
3. //////////4.  Dayton  Starting to find their offense again??  Wonders if they will have it ready for the Triangle offering./////////// Looks like the Crosby K.O. did  Dayton a big favor ! Dayton's coaching staff went back to drawing board and came up with a new very potent offensive scheme- the JV QB took over the helm, Payton went to WR (part time QB when called upon) and Xavier Baldwin as RB. In the last two games the three of them account for over 8 tds.( most impressive) Yes the Bronco's are more than ready for the Triangle and we owe it all to our HWY 90 friends to the west ,thanks Crosby we owe ya one ! See if we can return the favor next year . Now from the immortal words of Ranger 83 guess how many fingers I'm holding up?  ;)
4. 6.  GCM      Won a shootout with Crosby.  ??? 6 1/2  GCM  Won a shootout with CE King ;D
5. And judging from your comments above, you know something about classless and grace? I think he mentioned one call by the ref.  /////    I said " good luck " doesn't that count  ???  :D
6.
There needs to be a separate Dayton excuse thread. If, if, if.  If we hadn't have given the ball away.... If the refs would have blown 4 more inadvertant whistles... People who were at the Crosby/Dayton game know that with about 6 minutes left in the 3rd quarter a Cougar OLB ran a pick six back on a screen pass but the ref on the Dayton sidelines blew the whistle in the middle of the play. There was no flag. And the player who intercepted the pass never came close to going down, in fact he never left his feet.  That was not an unforced error.  Give credit to Crosby's defense. And when Ploch was scrambling in the late 3rd/early 4th quarter and got popped, that was not an unforced error.  The other two or three times on special teams, well that's part of football.  It's not like this was a 1 point game.  Dayton lost.  Dayton got shut out by probably it's biggest rival.  In a game between two undefeated district teams, Dayton could not stop Crosby. I'm sorry you can't get over it. Now onto this thread's topic: Barbers Hill threw five picks in the first half against PN-G and still kept it a game, 21-20.  I didn't see 1/4 of the excuses that I've seen from their neighbors up north on 146. That being said, I think this will be a close game. BH is a few plays away from being 7-1.  They barely lost to PN-G, Lumberton, and Dayton and no one in Crosby is taking them lightly.  Should be a good game.
Seems like everybody has moved on but Cap rock ! You must be on a differant  board than I am because I don't see anyone complaining but you. Now your crying about the refs how poor Crosby got all the bad calls., boohoo. And for your info when Payton P. got his concussion ( you know when your classless coach turned around waving his hands cheering the manic crowd on !) we recovered that fumble and even got a first down out of it . I guess Crosby has been loser's so long when they  do finally win a game they forgotten the art of grace.Good luck the rest of the season and please don't schedule anymore non-district games with Ennis you completely embarrassed  Dist. 19-A
7.

That must be the same blind hog that rooted you guys up also. ;D
We're Jewish.
That can't be true because if you were you would of had enough moola to buy the win !
8. PNG- First game under a new coach. They STILL won! Dayton- Started a JV QB (even though BH dominates the JV circuit). They STILL won! Reality-It's not just for breakfast any more!  /////////  Did you miss breakfast ? I'm still trying to figure out what point you're making. Your defending Dayton & PNG by making excuses for them winning against all odds against lowly BH.(LAME)      ---- Reality -  don't leave home without it !
9.
One more thing... Reality for Barbers Hill is that basketballs will be pouding the gym floor in four more Mondays.
Wheres the love for our 146 neighbors ! PN-G and Dayton managed to both squeak out wins over BH by a whoping 3 points each. You never know what team might put together a decent playoff run .
10. You guys need to get off that jock strap!          You lost me there ?
11. Payton is a power runner with a strong arm. The JV QB is fluid and a more tradition finesse type QB both have their advantages. Opens up more avenues with both of them in the backfield cant wait to see them in action!
12. Have to agree with the above post - when the offense poses a deep threat on a consistant basis it keeps the defense honest and nervous , Franks is the man that can make you suffer with his speed ! don't know if the JV QB has the arm to air it out like Payton could.
13. Angleton will go D2 for the playoffs who ever can beat them will have a good chance of making it to the big dance . ( winning over Angleton will be a daunting task to say the least ) Heck just getting out of the first round won't be easy this year in Reg. III ---
14. I would guess he'll be playing defense also( if he does the defense just got better ) and kick-off returns with his sure hands (cut down on fumbles) not to mention a threat to take it all the way to the House. The boy is a talent !
15. Good job BH -- It looked like in the last 7 min. we were playing Lake Travis again ! good look against Crosby. -GO BRONCO'S---
16. Yea! I love guessing games. Are you psychic? That is so cool! Can you guess what I'm thinking right now? How many fingers am I holding up? [/quote Wow! Until I read this post I didn't realized I have latent psychic powers ---I think I know how many fingers your holding up. Thanks Ranger83 I owe ya ONE .
17. "Bad" for a Daytonite....let's see....how about just having to take a trip to Baytown....to the Limelight - NOW THAT'S A GREAT PLACE!! Speaking from experience ?
18. Dayton coaching staff had a meeting and decided that if they were playing Goose Creek they would use Payton, but since were only playing BH we don't need him ! :-*
19. Please don't start that, questioning the play calling is questioning the coaching. Dayton is well coached and the play calling has never been the problem. We have to hang on to the ball, if a player can't he isn't going to get the ball handed to him. I don't think saying it's predictable is questioning the coaching although I respect your opinion. Maybe me being as big a fan as I am and seeing the fomation from my seat at the stadium , I know what they are going to run when other folks don't . Trust me , I know we have one of the best coaching staffs in the state. I really would like to know just how many fumbles #22 has because I really do think he is capable of being a very good back. If he is able to carry some of the load it would help with the health of our quaterbacks. Do agree with JW #22 needs more carries to build his confidence up you can see him get frustrated everytime he makes a mistake he knows he's coming out.Not being critical of the coaching staff just being objective I think its OK for true fans to air their views and take on the situation. I personally would like to see more misdirection plays to keep the defense honest also would like to send somebody going deep every down and see if we can burn em with our speed. Make the defense a nervous wreck everytime we step on field. Well that's my 2 cents worth ! I completely support our coaching staff and think they are some of the best in the State. A trip to the finals says it all--- GO BRONCO'S---
20. QB for the Jayhawks is the former high school QB from Lake Travis "Todd Reesing" (when he left LT Garrett Gibert took over the helm)
21. Paralysis by Analysis By Bryan Cisler Oct 13, 8:52 pm EDT Buzz up! PrintYou could probably imagine Kansas linebacker coach Bill Miller’s response after Kansas’ 41-36 victory against Iowa State. The defense and especially the linebackers played their worst game of the year. They missed tackles. They were slow to react to plays. They blew coverages. So did Miller scream? Curse? Maybe throw a few chairs? Nope. He did something even better and more effective. He apologized. “I told them that I let them down and did a poor job coaching them and it isn’t going to happen again,†Miller said. So what’s the solution to a defense that gave up more than 500 yards of total offense to one of the worst teams in the Big 12. After the game on Saturday, Mark Mangino wondered aloud that maybe the players were thinking too much on the field. It might be time to simplify the defense. Miller said the diagnosis was paralysis by analysis. “I got some very bright men in that linebacker group and when they are not playing as fast as they have to play, then that is a coaching error on my part.†Miller said. “It all looked good on the chalkboard, but it’s what those guys can execute and do full speed on the field that matters.†Of course it wasn’t just the linebackers that looked bad, it was the entire defense. Several players said this week that they are starting from scratch, trying to find the perfect formula to figure out what suits the players best. Still, no matter what new schemes or plays they simplify, Mangino wants to see a team with a tougher mental edge. “In this unit, some guys don’t understand what we are trying to do and how we are trying to do it,†Mangino said. “If you are in a tough situation, you revert back to what you feel comfortable doing rather than what the call and assignment says you should do. That goes with lack of discipline in your play, and lack of maturity.†Mangino had foreseen the defensive collapse coming since April during spring practices. That might’ve been when he noticed the huge void left by graduating senior linebacker James Holt. Mangino said there hasn’t been much difference in the play between the other seniors linebackers that left in Mike Rivera and Joe Mortensen compared with the current duo of Drew Dudley and Arist Wright. But Holt, well, that one left a mark. “He could play out in space and could come off the edge,†Mangino said. “We don’t have anybody that can do that.†One player who Kansas was hoping could contribute was linebacker Vernon Brooks. The junior college transfer showed up to Lawrence in July out of shape, and more recently suffered a hand injury during practice that has limited his production. The chance for him making an impact soon is starting to fade away. “Vernon Brooks has not progressed as well as we would have liked,†Mangino said. “He has to make a commitment to getting it done. If he does, he has a chance, if he doesn’t he will get lost in the shuffle.†So, more than likely Kansas will have to work with what they have. Miller says maybe the biggest obstacle facing the team now will be trying to create confidence in a group that badly needs a dose of swagger. And you can bet that Miller is doing everything and saying everything to trying to get his linebackers to think they are unbeatable. He said he saw positive signs during Sunday’s practice. “They came out breathing fire and I thought they were running around great,†Miller said. “I believe in them more than I ever have right now because of how they responded after that ballgame and the mentality that they have.†Kansas will have to rebound in a hurry. After next week’s game against Colorado, they will have to deal with an Oklahoma team that should be finding their groove again with quarterback Sam Bradford back in the mix. The following week they travel to Lubbock to face Texas Tech. A team that scored 63 points against Kansas last season. “They say what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, and nobody is dying in this group,†Miller said. “They are fighting back.â€
22. I talked to a semi reliable source a teacher at Dayton ISD (daughter) she said from her semi reliable source that Payton Ploch has a concussion and won't be playing this Friday .
23. Please don't pick your home team to loose--- last week Crosby did that and it didn't work out to good for Daytown we've had all the reverse psychology we can stand !
