Excuse me, I assume this is nothing but a flame post trying to get a rise. Easy path with PNG, Angleton, Yates , El Campo, Brenham, etc. And to the poster who replies it MIGHT be a little over simplification, you are the master of understatement. I am amazed no one else has jumped this clown. Hope all the Dayton fans and players are thinking like that!!
Were not all rookies here bud so forgive me if I didn't take the bait !

But of course Lake Travis waits on the other side of D1, the two headed monster!
I pick Marshall to be in the Finals !

 6.
Tivy is not a metroplex team... more like centex and it took a amazing strip by AJ Dugat and a last second FG for Dayton to beat them in a very physical ballgame.  Also, I think that if you look in recent years the DFW metroplex gets a lot of hype because they have a lot of talented teams packed very close.  Examples including Southlake Carroll, Allen, Trinity, Birdville, Highland Park, Ennis, Denison, Denton Guyer and Ryan.  Those schools plus the Dallas and FW isd schools (see Carter, Skyline, and Dunbar) tend to produce a ton of D1 guys with speed.  I would say most of your BIG name talent down here comes from a bit closer to the bigger city Katy, Cypress-Spring , FB, Aldine, Alief ect.  to boot in recent years alot of state champs have come out of those places I just named.  Bottom line lager population density = bigger talent pool.  Throw in East-Tex like Lufkin, Tyler and I bet you I could find a pretty good crop of college talent.  Don't believe me checkout UT, A&M, & even OU and OSU's roster.
No one is arguing the fact that D-FW teams are good and so should they be with their dense population. That's why the UIL created D1&D11 classifications and even then theres sometimes as much as 1000 student  difference between top and bottom of some D1&d11 schools if UIL would close that gap you would see a lot more parity in the playoffs. As of now the bigger schools hold the unfair advantage, but that's  where coaching and conditioning come into play some programs are far superior to others no matter what the talent pool is. Hence a little country school like Dayton  could more than hang with all the big Metro schools every year in the p layoffs. Example: Tivy beat C. Steele( big DFW metro school) last year and Steele was the only team that was competitive against Lake Travis in 4a D1 playoffs. All the pollsters picked Tivy to win over Dayton, but they were wrong !  Dayton has two D-1 true freshmen starting for major university's this year and host of other freshmen for smaller colleges-- talent is always delegated to the big boy schools.
 7.

Remains to be seen.Pollsters are biased to Metoplex teams not because they are better because of marketing their product.
no.... they are better. the talent up there is 3 times better!
That's what Tivy said before they ran into Dayton last year ! The best team Dayton faced in the playoffs was the first round Livingston SETX team, the rest were moot except Sulphur Springs .
 8. The only team that could even come close to stepping on the same field with LK Travis would be ............. I"ll get back with ya on that one ! ???
 9.   OK- everyone put on the rubber boots because it looks like were getting knee deep into the stanky stuff ! :P
 10.
20 something pages and counting on a "possible;" ok probable game that is two weeks off.....who even needs a prediction thread.  Its almost like the playoffs have already started yet I have no idea who Dayton will be playing in 2 weeks with all the playoff chaos over there in 20.
Right ! until Dayton finds out I'm forced to point my smack gun in the direction of PNG because their such fun targets not as good as Sulpur Springs but close.
 11.
Just some fun stats... In the 4 games against the (3) 19-4A playoff teams and PN-G.....the BH's QB has thrown for less than 50% accuracy and a whopping 5 TD's and 10 interceptions. They are also 0-4 in those games. None of their 5 wins have came against a team with a winning record. Their defense gave up on average over 26 points per game to those four winning teams. The five wins have come against four teams with a combined record of 10-29 and one win against a first year JV team. PN-G has already defeated (4) 4A playoff qualifiers including BH and 19-4A champ Crosby. They have a statewide top ten statistical defense. They have the second leading offense in 20-4A including the leagues leading rusher. But, the BH faithful seem to think they are the team to beat. They have no basis to stand on except for "because I say so". I have not decided whether it is comical or sad to read their delusional comments. The bright side is come 11/14 all this chatter will come to an end. Enjoy this one playoff game. If you move to 20-4A next year it will probably be two years before you get another chance.
The only basis they have is that they lost to PNG by one point and frankly their not afraid of the big bad wolf !

Shame on you -now quit talking trash and get back to preparing for "TAKS"  test -- you know 3rd time is a charm ! :o
 14. Ranger83 there are a few sane posters from PNG ,but it seems they practice a little more self control than the average over the top, manic, hysterical ,move over God here we are PNG type posters and we don't hear from them much. PNG may beat BH,but if they don't there won't be enough crow from here to China to feed them rascals ! :P
 15.
BH fans, I am not saying you shouldn't be excited that you made the playoffs, once your in you got a shot. What I am saying is that you have no reason to be on here posting about how great BH is this year and how they will be sending PNG home early. Every one of those statements is backed up by an IF. I agree some of these so called PNG fans have gotten out of hand with the comments, but like it or not at least the PNG smack talk is legit. They have something to back it up. No IFs. Anything can happen on a Friday night, but most of the time when you get to the playoffs the better team wins. 20 4A was 3-0 against 19 4A predistrict (including BH getting beaten at home against one of our last place teams). Outside of Dayton over our #4 I don't see it any different week 11.
Week 1 you got a gift from (4th place) BH when they shot themself in the foot and then you limped home with a win ,one point no less." I don't see it any different week 11" your words --- so what your hoping is that BH lays another egg and PNG backs up with another "1" point blow out ! :-\ Hey your not the only one that can dish smack  ;D
 16.
It's a highschool game dude ! Everybody for each team is excited about their team anythng can happen in the playoffs. No one is delusional about how great PNG is you guys have literally shoved it down everyones collective throats. (Not counting a few level headed PNG posters) BH fans know the odds are against em ,but they choose not to lay down and throw in the towel before the game even starts ! Its called team "pride" you got it and so do other teams fans with out it the game wouldn't be half as fun. Good luck to all and may everybody have a deep run until they meet the Dayton Broncos's !!!!!!!
The dayton Broncos have nothing this year without there WR and QB. they got BLOWN OUT by Crosby. couldnt even reach the end zone once. they wont get to far this year someone will break there defense and put up even more points
Thanks for the scoop !
 17.
I got one honest question for you BH fans, what is it that makes you so confident that you will beat PNG this time around? All I keep reading is if BH this and if BH that, then they will win! If BH does a bunch of stuff they haven't done all season they will win?? What makes you think they will change their ways all of a sudden? The key for PNG to win is not doing something that they haven't done all year. They key is to keep doing what they have been each week. Execute. No IFs. When your season success is predicated on ifs and buts, you are ususally in for a short season. A couple of years ago PNG had alot of ifs when we played Lamar Consolidated and LC had none. LC wins and goes on to win state. PNG was what we thought we were, a good team with some ifs and we went home early in the playoffs as we should have. Good Luck Eagles, I think you guys have a flawed sense of reality and I really hope that you think the team that you "almost beat" or "should have beat IF" in week 0 is the same you will or might see in two weeks!
It's a highschool game dude ! Everybody for each team is excited about their team anythng can happen in the playoffs. No one is delusional about how great PNG is you guys have literally shoved it down everyones collective throats. 18.
Runs high, dances a lot in the wholes with some pretty decent moves.  Has good vision to find the backside whole.  Makes good cuts and waits for the play to develop.  Pretty big and hard to tackle although doesn't look very fast.  Not sure of the team they're playing...don't know if the missed tackles are bad tackling or if they are because of the back since you don't get to see the whole game here.
One thing  I noticed the team they were playing didn't have good penetration at all ! there will be alot more pressure put on by the Bonco's "D"--- arm tackles won't get it with this kid !
 19.
Here's the deal!  LBJ is comparable to Central in terms of athletes only!  They have good speed but can be out schemed!  They have a running QB and a thrower.  The have a massive OL but they are slow off the ball and try to fall on you more than block you!  They run the zone read and fly sweep and are getting better, whereas they would turn it over a lot early in the season.  They will throw the deep ball to take advantage of their speed.  On Defense the will run 4-3 and 3-4 and blitz LBs all day.  Sometime you feel like they are doing too much!  Run right at em and you'll be successful.  The DL is terrible but the secondary is good.
Thanks ! good info--what team do your represent !
 20. Has anybody heard any news on Xavier Franks knee ?
 21. Looks like they have a stud RB (Cameron Brown) and also alternate two different QB's . Should be interesting to see if we can put the hurt on the RB.,might be a good tune up game if ever we get to play Angleton.  Also size never has bothered Dayton we can match up against anybody ! GO BRONCO'S~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  Still would like to see Jakari get a couple of snaps to see if he can bring it to house!
