What will happen come game day?

Good

Most teams appear to play a 3 man line and add extra defensive backs for a dime type defense.  Nederland will do the same.  Expect mal malveaux and Pryor to play safeties.

And you know what? That's probably precisely why Nederland won; their balance and poise offers more substance than style, and that meat-and-potatoes approach was the difference until Pearland Dawson rallied for 16 unanswered points from the final play of the third quarter through the final play of the fourth (a 32-yard field goal to send it to overtime). Dawson appeared to have all the momentum then, but the Nederland defense forced a short field goal to set up a game-winning opportunity on the next drive of extra time. Once there, QB Carson Raines eluded pressure in the pocket, rolled to his left, and hit Seth Barrow for a walkoff 25-yard touchdown pass to send the Golden Triangle into mass hysteria. That last throw was a thing of beauty; across his body, under pressure, into coverage ... it doesn't get much better than that. To beat the best — Dawson was 4A's top-ranked team — you have to be the best, and Nederland was this weekend.

I'm watching Georgetown/angleton at the moment

What studs were added from  Nederland black?  #2? Any others?

I like seeing all the fans from all over supporting the bulldogs and watching some good football

Yes, great turnout last week.... Better than normal

I just hope Nederland is able to put the excitement of Friday behind them and focus on the new #1 Georgetown.  Neumann is usually good at getting the team focused, but being such a huge emotional roller coaster like it was always causes a concern.  The party is over, time to goto work.

That's awesome!  I've watched it a dozen times myself.

Some pull for us because they support the area or they enjoy a good clean hard working team... Others are still jealous and upset over their loss.

Yes Hopkins will be a big part if this game.  We need to pound the rock for long drives and he's the man to do it.

Georgetown is great!  Nederland does not have a chance this week.  They would've easily beat PD.    just ask
