1. here is the way I see it. GCM beats Lee Crosby beats BH.  that will put Lee & Crosby in tie for 2nd with a coin flip for seeding BH in 4th if lee beats GCM they will take 2nd If BH beats Crosby, that would put a  a coin flip for 3rd & 4th seeding.
Ted Williams is the prodigy of Coach Alverez.  He played QB for him at West Sabine.  He also played college ball… He was the running back coach for Kville in 2007, DB coach in 2008, then went to Jasper to coach for 2 years.  He is a great motivator for the kids and brings college experience.
 3. I believe Baytown Lee is 9-3. not 8-4. They are 8-4 with GP and GCM left to play
 4. Crosby JV beat GCM 11-4. How did BH JV do against GP?
 5.
I'm confused, easy to do, but I thought Dayton was dist champs in football and KWP was champs in baseball.  Crosby must have had a mis-print in the local paper reading they were the champs in everything. I also thought KWP went undefeated in distr. I may be wrong, can anyone (not from Crosby confirm) .411 is a great avg, but Chance is hitting .500 in dist and from what he has done on the mound, if his team wins district, he should be MVP. Believe it or not but a .411 avg may not get you all-dist in your position, there are some high numbers this year, GCM has 2 hittilgn over .500, another is almost at .500 and BH now has 2 hitting .500.  Not taking anything from Jeremy, awesome player, but IMO if GCM wins it Chance is MVP for his pitching and stick.
1st Dayton did not win district last year in football.. Crosby was undefeated champ.  beat Dayton 28-0. 2009-2010 19-4a baseball standing 1st    KP  12-2.  only losses were to crosby twice 2nd  Crsoby 11-3.  Losses to C.E King, GP, and BH 3rd  GP 10-4 Loses to Crosby, KP twice and i cant remember other, I think BH. 4th GCM and BH..    GCM won tie breaker game to go to playoffs As for .411 batting avg not getting you a all drist.......  .411 puts you in the top 8.... and is the best pitcher in 19-4a....so all disrtict is a no brainer... as for you claim of all these kids hitting over 500, only 3 kids in district are hitting over 500 with 20 ab... Blablabla, Can anyone really take you seriously when you have know idea of the facts????

If GCM wins district Czerwonka in my book lands district MVP.  What he has done on the mound, and at the plate is pretty impressive.  Still do not see any team going undefeated the rest of district, but think GCM has the ball in their court.
IDK.  All districts are funny. coaches vote on bias.  Last year Gabby was 10-0 and did not get MVP or Def MVP. he got 1st team pitcher. :( :(  Merka in football last year was undefeated district champ and gets No supers as well!  :o :o.  this year gets 2nd team qb! WOW!! Gabby is not only the most feared pitcher in 19 4A but is also batting .411. IMO he is MVP of district
Whoever wins the district will get the MVP. IMO
Like I said, It does not always work that way.  look at the majors.  the MVP usually is not on the one who wins the world series.  I think it should go to the most talented... that is why it is called MVP (Most Valuable PLAYER) not most valuable team..
From my past experience, the MVP has come from the 1st place team in 19-4A. Did not say it was fair or even an accurate choice. Just the way it is.
Not if you are from crosby.... like I said in football Crosby was district champs last year and Merka did not get any supers. but in baseball you are right. that seems to be the norm...  I just dont get it.... you would think the runers up would get one of the supers... (besides new comer of the year).  esp when gabby beat KP twice last year (district champs) GCM twice, GP, Barbershill twice one in district and non district. all the top dogs got a nothing agaist him...

 9.
anyone know how any 19-4a sub varsity did last night
Crosby beat GP 11-1 in 6.  Crosby is 9-2 with loss to Dayton in 9 inn and a 1 run loss to BH. If Crosby wins out they will atleast be co-district champs.
 10. Crosby wins... 14-7... Gage Larkin - 2 HR Wesley Jones-1 HR
 11. what are the records agaist eachother out of these?  Vidor, PNG, Livingston?  I can see these teams finishing the year with 2-1 or 1-2......also include Lumberton.... they are not out... if they could manage a win against nederland then they have a shot...
 12. the key word is "looking" and now "found"....... Well, what do the Carol Thomas supporters have to say now... [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content]
 13. by far Most Surprised team in 2011 - Silsbee Tigers, I don't Know how many underclassmen are on the team... but I remember the Sr. this year when they were fresh and soph... they were not very good.... Most Disapointed team this year....... Texas City.... 4 rounds deep (Regional simi-finals) last year to winning only 6 games this year... wow!! what a drop off in a short period of time
 14. Crosby Wesley Jones -1.  a grand slam that landed about 400 ft
 15.
I heard that the Lumberton Varsity Assistant Coach will be one of the teachers that won't be back next year.
No he is not one of the coaches that are being let go..
 16.
Both teams have great futures in front of them. We will be having this conversation for several years to come. Great job Crosby.  Now go get BH.   Do you know standings for JV teams? I don't know if anyone else cares except us.
IDK. that was the first loss in distirct for crosby.
 17.
Great game Dayton JV vs Crosby JV. They both played good. Some errors but to be expected. Looks like they both have a good group of kids to contribute next year.  Dayton 7  Crosby 5 in 9 innings. Great game by both schools. Both starting pitchers were very good. Dayton's is Freshman, not sure about Crosby boy but both did great.
yes it was a great game... Crosby missed their 4 hole last night... he DH for the varsity... I rarly say a ump occounts to any loss but I still cannot get over the call in the 7th... 4-3 ball game, bases loaded, 2 outs, 3-2 count, fast ball right down the gut....batter does not swing and  catcher never moves his glove... NO CALL.... WOW!!! big no call in a game to walk in the tieing run!!  the catcher toss the ball towards the mound and started to celabrate... he thoungt the game was over... I take nothing away from Dayton... They have  a great squad... They will contend in the years to come...
 18.
I'll tell you what's a great attitude to have, finishing second. At this household we live by the motto if your not first, your last. You may be fine with your son being on jv but we're not losers here at nederland. Do you remember dayton's jv record last year? Nope, didn't think so. No one cares about jv.
yall dont get sucked in... he has 3 posts. either he is a kid just trying to start something, which they do in that area... or just a uneducated man.... If it is a real post he just sets the bar for Nederland athletic parents....... by the way when is the last time Nederland won state??  I guess every Ned team is "finishing second"
 19. this is a site I found for the parents and coaches that are worried about their kids arm... Although it does not say anything about High School Pitch counts, I does have good information and advice about young pitchers and health.. [Hidden Content]
 20. here let me copy and paste for you.... mismanagement of the bond money, The state education agency is also auditing the district’s use of bond money, questions whether the district has complied with state law governing Texas’ bond guarantee program,  alleged misconduct by district employees, including its electrician, Calvin Walker, who is under federal investigation, according to the local U.S. Attorney’s Office, for possibly overcharging for his services. (Walker did not respond to a phone message left at his office.) I have read the things he has done right as well... but there has to be a line..

100 pitches is not a lot if the kid has proper form and is in shape.....when they get to 120 then the red light needs to come on in a coach’s mind........ THE KEY THING IS REST AFTER..... There are things a kid can do to prevent injury... ice and run.... these will get the acidity out of his muscle that causes damage... As for College, what do you think a college pitcher does.... he pitches every day... even if his arm is hurting.  30-60 pitches even after he has pitched the night before... It builds arm strengthI have heard someone mention the pros watching when pitchers reach 100.... yes they do but it has to do more with being ineffective against the best hitters more than arm worries.... Now, after everything I have read I have not seen one person bring up the REAL problem why young pitchers are getting hurt or having arm problems… It has nothing to do with the coach… Some of you may not want to hear it…… But here it is……   YEAR ROUND SELECT BASEBALL!!!  Kids pitch year round and the arm needs to rest… They are throwing breaking balls, sliders, split fingers.. etc… before their arms have developed…  I have spoken to numerous of doctors and they said they love year round baseball because their Tommy John surgery has increased by 1500% since year round select baseball was invented.  Instead of doing one a week, they are doing about 12-15..  Some doctors have given up their  practice and just started doing this surgery alone…Some kids have had 2-3 surgeries before the even reach high school… If you want to blame the coaches for your sons arm problem go right ahead…. But the real problem is the parents for enrolling their child in year round baseball…
Not sure where you pitched in college, but when I did no coach ever promoted throwing everyday, and certainly did not have us throw when our arm was hurting.   Are you sure it's 120 pitches? earlier you said it was 110 pitches?  I think it is all relative to a variety of situations and should never be taken lightly!!!! As for select, thats why you dont sign your kid up for select and allow the same thing to happen there, you evaluate the coaches and the way they handle your child in his best interest.  There is nothing wrong with playing select, tournament or off season baseball as long as you are doing what is in the best interest of your child.  Health first, I would be willing to bet that more kids are having surgeries due to bad technique and yes parents allowing their own kids to throw pitches that their bodies have not developed enough to throw yet.
I said a coach needs to be aware when they hit 100-110.  In my mind a coach need to pull him when he reaches 120. and it also depends on the kid when to pull him... and go watch a Lamar practice and see how much a pitcher throws... it may not be from the mound, but one knee down against a hanging mat with spots on it they do throw againt almost every day if they are not pitching that day..
