1. You just gotta want it bad enough, Grad. I'm in LA all week and wasn't supposed to fly in until 10:09pm Friday. Had to get tat flight changed when the game got changed... ;D I'll be flying in at 6:20 now! ;)
 2. Williams is a freakin stud, no doubt. I was very impressed with his acceleration, overall speed and just how physical he runs, last year. He will run around or over you. Our defense is fast and physical as well. I think we can slow him down.
 3. About half of the JV are wearing Silver helmets now. The entire offense were backups that went into the game with 3 min left in the 3rd qtr and played the rest of the game.
 4.
KOGT.com will also be carrying the game. Gary Stelly is a lot easier to listen to.
Stelly does an awesome job!
 5. Impossible for those teams to meet in the 3rd round.
 6. Thanks guys for your commitment to this great country!

That's what you do. Kirbyville is better than coldspring. Yet they could lose. Nobody denies that. Kville has better players/coaches if u ask me tho so I would say they SHOULD beat them. Again. Prolly worse than week one. WO-S is going to have Giddings come round two. That is prolly a better team than coldspring.
I disagree...  I think Brandon Williams and Brookshire Royal will end Giddings' season here in Brenham on Friday.  If that happens, WOS will play the best athlete they've seen all year.  I can't wait wait to check him out Friday.
WOS faced Williams last year and won 49-6. I think the defense would be OK. As for the "best athlete they have seen all year", Williams is definitely a stud, but WOS has seen a few of them this year. Ford (Kville), the QB from Fwood and Menard (BC). As for our matchup with either, both of them are giving up a ton of points. Anything can happen, but I think the Stangs will be focused and up to the task, if they are fortunate enough to get to play either of them.

Not many 8th grade teams out there running a true spread offense and the no huddle to boot! :o
There is a group of 6th graders running the spread and no huddle. Coach might want to hang on a couple more years. Not only that they are kicking extra points. Not making all of them of course but the boys are on the right Mustang track.
Can't wait until those kids get to the Middle School!!!

Coldsprings is next get ready. They beat us pretty bad and we beat you. Ha! ha!
:D ;D
 10. Yes they can... and this years 9th graders will need the help.
 11.

WO-S 8th "A"- 21 HJ 8th "A"- 0 WO-S 8th "B"- 26 HJ 8th "B"- 0 WO-S A & B win undisputed district championships and both go undefeated. The B did not allow a single point for the second straight year. The A team allowed only 28 points total in 2 years!
Looking forward to next years 7th graders. Where are you gonna coach Gas?
8th I believe. But I am looking forward to seeing the whole 7th grade group together.
 12. That's true, Nupe.
 13. Yes, he is a graduate from the mid 90's he said last night.
 14.
bc by 3!
You need to stick with predicting WOS games.  ;D
 15. I know I have said this a couple of times and my Stangs have proven me wrong. I hope they continue to do so, but I am not going to predict a close game here. I think we should roll. I knew our JV was going to play a bunch last night, I just didn't know they were that good. I knew they were undefeated for the year, but... Because of other commitments I have not been able to see them play on Thursdays this year. They are as good as advertised.
 16.

Great things to come the next several years!
Next several years?? I'll give you next year for sure, but not several. Less you forget this score this year: WOS 9th      0 Silsbee 9th  48 Silsbee 9th undefeated district champs.
Yes sir, he said several years... Do we need to talk about the WOS 8th grade "A" and "B" teams? ;D ;)
 17.
Gasilla 56-0, 49-0 you see the team has nothing to olay for. They are done!
LOL... so 56-0 is OK, but 70-0 isn't? How do you arrive at this conclusion?
 18. Santa, I'm just curious, but what do you consider an acceptable point differential?
 20.
how many teams get in with a win >? i know jasper/diboll is that way. i think bc/orangefield is...
OF is win by more than 3 and you're in.
 21. I didn't say that WOS moved the ball well on Kville all night... ;) ;) ;)
 22.

kirbyville moved the ball on wo-s all night.
They didn't move the ball all night.  It was 7-6 at the half.
****468 total yards to 216 total yards**** they moved the ball well all night.
160 of those yards came on two plays...
 23. It may not be as big a margin as people think only because the Stangs have a few nicked up players that may not see the field. You don't want to lose at any time, but this is about as meaningless a district game as they come.
 24.
Yes you are correct they didn't throw the ball. They didn't need to. We couldn't stop the run. But going for it on 4th at that time was going to far.
ST413, you weren't, by chance, late due to helping someone change a blow out were you?
 25.
I really had no problem with WOS going for it on 4th and 1 from their own 48 with just over 3 minutes left in the game. It's at midfield and all the Mustangs were trying to do was run out the clock. I can guarentee you WOS would have not scored by choice had they converted that 4th down. The 2nd quarter was the ball game. Silsbee just could not stop the WOS running attack. Giving up 393 yards rushing on the night, over 500 yards total offense, will not win many games. Congrats to the Mustangs on a very good win. I think WOS is on the verge of a deep run in the playoffs.
Ah yes the voice of reason rings! I agree with you AAW.
