1.
I dont understand all the talk about 2A & 3A playing 4 and 5 A teams thats why they have divisions to keep it fair, can a school with 500 students compete with a school with 3000 students probably not. But can some of the players on these 2 and 3A teams start for a 4 or 5A team YES. Keep it real, can a 5A school beat a D3 or D2 college maybe but why even go there its never going to happen. Good Luck to all the SE TX teams left in the playoffs make us proud.
The reason for divisions is because, with less people in the school, they are not going to have the talent year in and year out to compete consistently with larger schools. But when those 3A teams DO have the talent (like CS has now and Kville had the last few years) then yes, those 11 can compete with any other 11.
 2. I guarantee you that CS could hang with any of those teams. Maybe not this year, but most years, even PAM. A wise old coach named JB Bearden used to tell us that you can only put 11 on the field at a time. If your best 11 are better than their best 11 then good things will happen. Doesn't matter how many kids are walking their halls...
 3.
Darren Sproles actually was an every down back in high school @ Olathe North HS. He rushed for 2000 yards as a junior in only 9 games. 2400, 49 touchdowns, and a 6A state title in Kansas his senior year. You guys are comparing the way Sproles plays against NFL defenses to the way Lindsey plays against 3A HS defenses. As far as where Darren Sproles was at this point in Lindsey's life the two are incomparable. Good luck to WOS, and Britton Lindsey, I would love to see the kid play at a division 1 school in college.
...and Britton has been an every down back in highschool as well... We are speculating about college, no one said that Sproles wasn't an every down back in highschool. He wasn't in college and he isn't in the NFL, either. Lindsay probably will not be either. The only reason the comparison was made is because they are both short in stature, but explosive. I think it's a fair comparison.
 4. Sproles wasn't a 25 carry back either. But he can be electric with 15.  :) ;)
 5. There have been plenty of short backs play at the next level and beyond. With the spread offense at the major college level he can play plenty of places. The sky is the limit for this kid, all he needs to do is go get it.
 6. I'm a WOS fan and I said they weren't over rated, looks like you are the one "hatin" there Panther.
 7. Just a note, but it's Coldspring, not Coldsprings... I think they are a good team and are the reigning DII, Region III champions. Until someone knocks them off that throne, they have earned the title of best in Region III on the field. So no, I don't think they are over rated. I think they have not played the schedule they did last year, but they did what they were supposed to do by winning, convincingly. I do not agree with some of their fans attitude that they are invincible, but I can see that most of them realize that BC gave them a little reality check this weekend and they better focus if they plan on duplicating what they did last year. Anyway, like I said, they are not over rated, and are still the best team in Region III D-II until someone proves different on the field.
Faired well against who?
Coldspring...
Here's to hoping that question will get answered on the field...
 9. Yes, he is something else to watch. Wish we had him for a little while longer...
 10. You're on crack... ;)
 11.

BC wouldn't be undefeated if they played cs's schedule ;)
This is the post of which I'm refering. There are no WOS fans bumping their gums like this or making comments about being "as good as any team in 22-3A". How do you know you would beat BC (which is what you are insinuating)? What has Huffman done to become such a Juggernaut all of the sudden? Oh yeah, your best team in the last 20 years barely beat a rebuilding Silsbee team last year... I forgot... Or was it because you only LOST to CS by 17???? Hilarious...  ;D I don't think Huffman would get into the playoffs in 21-3A.
I will modify this a bit... Huffman gets 3rd IF they play Silsbee AFTER Reed hurts his arm against BC. Cleveland might get 5th. And I sure would like to see what happens last night if Menard doesn't get hurt in the 2nd qtr.
 12. I thought Jimmy played his best game of the season today. He may have had a couple of throws that weren't perfect, but he made a whole bunch of really good throws. He also made some really good decisions and managed the game very well. Gotta give some credit to the men up front, too. They just seem to get better and better each week. The offense goes as they go.
 13. NOW, it's 21 unanswered points... :P
 14. J&J's then X&O's then whats between those J&J's ears. Mentality and preparation are the most important aspects. You can have all the talent in the world, but if the kids don't believe they can win, they wont. Once you get them believing in themselves and having the mentality that they can win every time they step on the field, then everything else will take root. IMO
 15. This is horrible. Anyone know what happened?
 16.

Their is a better chance of Ricky Perry getting elected President that Huffman does of beating Silsbee! We all know that ain't happening playa!
How bout theres a better shot at someone using spell check with proper grammer than Rick Perry....or you ;)
Dont you mean grammar??? LMAO
 17.

What I saw Cleveland has a pretty good kicker
Yes they do and so does Huffman.
From what I have seen, CLEVELAND has a pretty dang good kicker.
 18.
They probably changed it because the Little Mustangs Pee Wee, Junior and Senior teams are playing in the Superbowl at Lamar. Many people wanted to make all the games. You guys should come and see those games...these kids can really play.
What time are those games?
 19.

Really we have not been talked that much except for our fans.  They don't even know us on the Smoaky board. We are ranked number three in most polls,  but have not heard anyone really talk about us.  I watch the high school scoreboard live show every Friday and not once have they mentioned us.  I always hear them talk about Carthage, Henderson, Gilmer, and Chappel Hill.  So we are actually kinda under the radar to most except for the few in the area that know us.  It is kinda funny though before last year everyone was against us in every playoff game.  This year we still have not earned any respect.  Now were going to lose because we got the big heads.  Not sure what we could do to earn respect from this area.
Ya'll have respect from me, I know CS is a great team.  Just trying to say that they are not unbeatable.  Most fans on here are talking like no one in the region has a chance at all.  That no matter what happens in the games there is no way that CS can lose.  I think that is why most people are saying ya'll have the big head.  I respect supporting your team and predicting a win, but to sound like no one has a chance against ya'll is a little outrageous when the first kickoff of the playoffs has not taken place.
+1  ;) ...and that goes for Huffman, too with their "can't lose" attitude toward Silsbee... Like they are some sort of World Beaters...
 20.
WOS ain't even gettin love from an alumni, per a certain texas tech football player. They probably win this one, but ain't going much further than the first round, seems to be the start of a tradition for them, lmao  :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Funny... how many years did CS not even get past the first round or not even make the playoffs?
 21. I sooooooo hope that happens!
 22. I didn't see anyone from BC say they would beat Huffman, nor did I see anyone from BC or WOS say they were "as good as any team in 22-3A", I think you folks are confused about the meaning of arrogance... and how do I "get over myself"... LMAO
