1. Hopefully, we will have Jeanise, Beasley and Lynch back this week.
 2. Very true, in all 3 of our losses we outgained our opponents. In Giddings we nearly tripled theirs and still lost by 8. Stats are for losers, period... Scoreboard baby!
 3.
Grammer check anyone? ;D ;D
Ummmm... don't you mean Grammar???? LMFAO
 4. The key is our offensive line. They just aren't playing well and haven't been. Even last week against K-Ville, we had success throwing, but never really established anything on the ground and if 43 isn't in there we do next to nothing. People talk about schemes etc, but our offensive line has only one kid back from last season (and this year he is playing both ways) and they are still struggling to find their identity. Every game it seems they are playing in different spots trying to find the right fit. No matter what offense you run, if you can't block you aren't going to have success.

Wo-S must have a pretty good little 7th grade A squad..
Yeah - and how do you feel about the WO-S 8th grade squad?
The WOS 8th grade team isn't bad and are getting better. Last night the score was 24-18 late in the 3rd quarter. To my knowledge, HF has run away with every game this year. That QB is freakish for a kid in MS. Besides, whats wrong with him just mentioning the 7th grade, anyway? A few years ago I remember a whole bunch being said about Silsbee's 8th and their 7th not getting much mention at all. And that 7th grade "B" score was actually HF's 8th and 7th combined.
 6. The kicker was Rodickson Cano, also Freshman.
Well I will say this, do not think it will be a blow out by Silsbee.
No OF turned out an impressive win on Jasper. And I being at Silsbees practice today. I assure you Silsbee is not taking this lightly and shouldnt.
I don't see how anyone could even consider taking OF lightly. They've lost one game to a team that would probably beat anyone in this district. I think it will be a close game decided by 7 points one way or the other.
Well not trying to take away from Orangefields game but they did lose to Buna also 21- 14
Oops, forgot about that one... Lose to Buna then beat Jasper by 10... :o I still think it will be closer than the Tiger fans think.

 9.
There's nothing wrong with Jasper that a little stability in the coaching revolving door won't change. No program can with stand the number of coaches and systems in a few short years that Jasper has had. Parents need to back off and quit second guessing what is going on. The new coach came from one of the proven winning systems in Texas. Give him a chance to implement some of this system.
+1
 10. Stud!! Give him the ball 30 times a game and watch the wins start coming.
 11. The more the two of you post, the more your motives become apparent. Don't take the lack of people replying as some sort of "win". It's more that they know the real reason why you are here. One thing I will agree with you on though, we have some great coaches in the Lil Mustangs! I pray they never lose sight of what got them where they are.
 12. [Hidden Content] The Leader has the stats 282-205 with running clock in the 2nd half.
 13.
I did not come watch this game. I want your honest opinion from Mustang fans. Do you think WOS able deep in the playoff? Since I heard that some people think that they are not strong or Mustangs way anymore. I prefer that I will trust and listen from Mustang fans. : )
It all depends on where you finish and who you draw in the first round. But, WOS showed their explosiveness last night in the first half. Really depends on whether r not we keep improving going forward. The potential is there, but they have to keep working.
 14.
Score was lopsided by halftime alright but Chron shows a close game by stats WOS w/10 1st dwn-272 tot yds 20/64 rushing yds-KV w/239 tot-8 1st dwns-41/147 rush KV w/5-2 fumbles and a int-WOS w/2-1 fumbles.
WOS shut it down in the 2nd half... Had well over 200 yds in the 1st half. Didn't even throw a pass in the 2nd half. A Kville fan even saw that it could have been worse. Stats can be decieving and I would much rather the stats be close and the scoreboard not. We "out stated" all 3 of our losses, but the scoreboard is the only thing that matters.
 15. This is actually my post from last year: Last Thursday: WOS 8th- 12 Jasper 8th- 8 WOS 7th A- 8 Jasper 8th A- 20 WOS 7th B- 34 Jasper 7th B- 0 ;D
 16. Not sure if that was a mistake in wording or his memory is clouded, but he is definitely incorrect. In fact, I went back and looked and the 7A was the ONLY team that won that night. 7B and 8th grade both lost for Jasper.  ;)
 17. I agree, that's why I'm thinking they must intend for him to play. Could be wrong, though.
 18. I don't know about Jimmy, to answer your question. But I do know Chase, and if anyone could do it as a Freshman, Chase could. That don't mean he won't struggle at first, but he won't be one to be "happy to be there", if you know what I mean. He's been involved in highly competitive situations all of his life. I think he will handle the pressure, the only question will be can he handle it physically. I think he can, but you will never know until he gets out there.
 19. I doubt he would be up there and not play. Look for a back up role and some spot duty tonight with an increase going forward. That is just speculation, but they already had a back up on the varsity to begin with. I just don't see this move happening if the intent wasn't to get him on the field.
 20.
Last yr Jasper swept with the 7a winning 20-6.  This year I'm predicting a blow out by the Jasper 8a, they have the potential to score 30+.....
Jasper swept what??? They didn't win the 8th grade game last year.
 21.

wo-s freshmen - 52, Kirbyville-0....Good luck Chase Rutledge on being promoted to varsity
What do you know about that possibility?
Griff, it's a done deal. He's been practicing with the Varsity all week.
 22. Your posts are just ridiculous... isn't by saying that we have a tough schedule saying the other teams were better that night? Your argument is as stupid as your contradiction was.  :o Kids? Who is blaming kids? That's just ignorant.
 23.
I heard there is two ways you win with seniors, either with them or without them!  An old athletic saying.  This thread needs to die
I agree. People are starting to get to long winded. I'm having to read hondo1's post in shifts because I can't pay attention to it long enough to read it all at one time... lol
 24. skipper, that is YOUR opinion and you have stated it very clearly. I think everyone (kinda) respects your opinion, but dont be like the other cry babies and expect everyone to agree with it. At some point, you gotta let it go.
 25.

As it is in most season's, the only thing I see bringing down WOS, IS WOS, that defense is top notch and the team speed is there.
I agree completely. For the life of me, why 1-3 is a complete surprise to some is beyond me. Anyone with a clue should have known that this was a possibility. Heck, I even posted on another site that it wouldn't surprise me if we wound up 1-4 because I expected Kirbyville to be the typical Kirbyville. We probably should have won every one of those that we lost. We’ve got correctible problems, but I know cornel will get those lined out. You have to realize, though, that there are some lurking around with an agenda. No matter what happens, they are going to blow it out of proportion. Not even realizing that all they are REALLY doing is hurting the kids by creating dissension. The kids are very keen on what is happening in the community.
Did I miss something or did you guys play the World Champs? Friendswood is currently 2-3 (Lost) and Jasper is 2-3 (WON); the other two teams are good teams but you lost; just sounds like a bunch of excuses.  I can remember many great WOS Teams that would never have blamed the kids, blamed it on a "tough" schedule.......WOS has played much more brutal schedules than what they currently have. Paratrooper, are you bi-polar or do you regularly talk out of both sides of your neck? Aren't you the same "Paratrooper" that is on the 3A board and are you not the same person that posted this above? Looks like even you REALLY know we have played a tough schedule, looks like you are just here trying to push buttons... busted on the contradiction there pal. ;)
