  1. the only factor that MIGHT help Vidor is the rain, and that's a hard maybe. The rain can make it anybody's game. However, if Lindale is able to hold onto the ball, they will run the game. Vidor cant hold onto the ball with it taped to them, so I'm not looking for our offense to get rollin' much tonight.

If you look up Raiders on Max Preps it has a video of top 5  plays from around the state on it. # 1  play was acrobatic move of Lumberton’s linebacker Easton Stapleton. What it doesn’t show is that he did it twice in a row.

Actually, after watching that video, it was top 5 plays in the nation.

Doesnt show his offsides calls back to back either. cool idea, but crossed too early.

Livingston is a heavy run team. I think they will be in the mix for a playoff spot 3 or 4. If yall can stop the run yall should beat them

Depends if our defense shows up and what positions the kids are put in. Last week against Lumberton coaches switched to a stack defense with three inside linebackers and no safety. Needless to say, after two drives they were scrambling to change. Against LCM, their QB sneak worked all night long, we never figured it out. Only time will tell.

  4. Very disappointing last two games for Vidor (LCM and Lumberton). Lots of talent on the field and on the bench, but no discipline or team attitude. As another pointed out on a different thread, lots of kids all about their selves, not the team. Team has lacked a motivator (coach or student leader) or any want to win. Hopefully we win the next three (Livingston, HH, Splendora) and end up in third. We should, but never say never.

I do.  Mathews was a great motivator and got the best out those young men.  So far I'm not seeing that with the new HC.  The kids look to be very undiscipline (not all of them).

Matthews is the one pumping up the guys on the sidelines every game. All I’m gonna say 🤷🏼‍♀️👀

The changes had to be made.  Lost the starting safety to a knee injury.

Our second string safety did just fine the entire game after the injury to the starter. It was not a secret that LCM is a running team this year, yet coaches moved our best outside linebacker to safety. Not a good move. Also put a middle linebacker out at outside lb and let him start despite the talented depth at that position.

  7. Vidor had two weeks to prepare for LCM yet it looked like they didn’t watch a second of film. Very questionable position moves that changed vidor defense not for the better. That being said, hopefully better coaching decisions will be made this week.
