When you put backups on, you cannot expect them not to play well. Most of those kids will probably never play if the score is always close. I'm pretty sure they have parents on the stands that want to see them score, or do something they'll be proud of. Lets not put an unfair expectation on the backups. It's football.

As far as a great backfield gone for Coldspring, look at the stats including this last game. Instead of just two backs taking the bulk of the carries, the have 4 backs rotating in and out. And Cooper I believe has gone over 1,000 yards already. WOS´s D is good no doubt, so let´s say Coldspring dosen´t sub their starters like WOS dosen´t sub their D. The stats would be off the charts with 100´s on the scoreboard. Then there would be talk about Coldspring having the best O in the state because of the stats. Would that be right? No it wouldn't. Let's be clear about something. Look at the beginning of this thread. WOS fans NEVER said we had the best defense in the state. The article in the enterprise did based on facts. Let's look at the facts: 1. The sky is blue today. 2. WOS's defense has allowed the least amount of points (20), of any team, any class in the state. 3. WOS has 6 shutouts. 4. They shut out LCM and Central. All we are doing is admiring the facts. People who say we are not the best in the state are arguing with facts....wow. I'm pretty sure if we were talking about PAM, Nederland or someone else, we wouldn't be having this argument. But as Gasilla said earlier, "Haters are gonna Hate...

Jasper came into the game against WOS averaging almost 50 points a game. They were held to 7 points. Silsbee has not played a team close to Jasper.

I really don't understand why everyone is saying WOS needs to work on their offense. They are doing exactly what they should be doing. if you're waiting for them to put up 40 and 50 points a game, it's not going to happen. Why? Because the best players on the team play primarily on defense. This is a defensive team. Yes. I admit that I'd like to see more points on the board, but this team is not built that way. But guess what? They are 4 and 0.....

However, with that being said, I doubt very seriously if Jasper would dominate Nederland and Vidor. Those are the teams WOS scrimmaged.

If you haven't seen them play you're in for a treat. Every week I look at the opposing team and say to myself, "Man...we are under-sized."and then the defense amazes me every week. First it was, "PNG is much bigger than WOS. They will beat them with size." Then it was, "Central has too much speed. They played Memorial and  West Brook close. They will beat the stangs." We man handled both of them. What else do we have to do to  show people this is the BEST defense in SETX?

You guys keep talking about depth. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see Memorial has more athletes than WOS. I said WOS is more ATHLETIC than any other team in SETX. The proof is in the pudding.
