I would rather throw a no-hitter. Throwing a no-hitter means that you are very good for an entire game. Hitting a walk-off homerun means you were good for 1 pitch.

Best Coach in the Area Covered By this Board
Ty Cobb replied to rollinac's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
The best coach in the area is the coach with the best players. -
I think he's right up there with those greats that you named. Sure, his numbers aren't the same but you expect him to win every time he is on the mound just as you expected Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz, Schilling, Beckett, Johnson, and Clemens to win. He's a true #1 and does what #1's do. He gives his team a chance to win with quality outings.
-
Game 2: C. J. Wilson vs James Shields It sure would be nice if this series goes to Arlington with the RANGERS up 2-0.
-
I agree. I didn't think I would ever see the RANGERS with quality pitching. It looks like the organization is headed in the direction to be contenders for a long time. Also would love to see Michael Young get a shot at the World Series. He's been a great team player and leader since his arrival. How about this, a World Series Championship for #10 in 2010!!!

The kid from Huffman is the best throwing QB that I have seen this year.

Same as other National League game. Pulling for the braves but the giants have the better pitching.
-
I'm pulling for the reds but the phillies have the better pitching staff.
-
I hate to say it, but I have to go with the yanks.
-
I'm taking the RANGERS in 5.
I'm hoping they get the yankees. they seem to match up well against them. the twins and rays have given the rangers fits all season.
I agree. Like I said before, I never thought I would be hoping to play the yankees in the opening round but I think the RANGERS have a better chance against them than they do against tampa bay. Either way, it is September 23 and we are still talking about TEXAS RANGERS baseball.
-
Cliff Lee is scheduled to start today so that should give the RANGERS the edge.
-
The magic number is down to 4 and things are looking better for the RANGERS. If the playoffs started today (sept. 23) AMERICAN LEAGUE Rangers (3) at Yankees (1) Rays (Wild Card) at Twins (2) NATIONAL LEAGUE Padres (3) at Phillies (1) Braves (Wild Card) at Reds (2)

If the postseason started today (sept. 17) ... AMERICAN LEAGUE RANGERS (3) at rays (1) yankees (Wild Card) at twins (2) NATIONAL LEAGUE reds (3) at phillies (1) braves (Wild Card) at giants (2) Really hoping this changes. Don't want to see the RANGERS go to tampa in round 1.
-
Never thought I would say this, but I hope the RANGERS will get the yankees in the first round. Seem to match up better against new york than against tampa bay.
I hate to admit it, IMHO the Horns do not stand a chance in this one. I hope they prove me wrong, but from what I have seen against Anahuac & Buna, HF does not have these size to match up with Huffman.
The Falcons do have some size, but their team speed is what impresses me the most. The guys they have can run!!!

It all depends who the head coach is and if he will put up with the parents BS.This is not only in sports but in teaching also, parents always think there kid did no wrong its the teachers fault...Parents amaze when you loose 40-0 and there telling there little Johnnie after the game about how great he played and now little Johnnie thinks he played great and coach tells him different and little Johnnie's Dad is at the fieldhouse telling coach he shouldn't talk to little Johnnie that way cause it hurts his self confidence
Well most coaches coach with a (being closed minded) attitude and they don't think that any parents should tell them how to coach there child.
I'm not sure if I understand you. Are you saying that coaches should allow parents to tell them how to coach their child? That's absurd!!! How about this, coaches should start telling parents how to raise their children. Let's see how well that goes over.

Huffman will win by a lot of points!!!
