7. I have to agree with hillguy on this one.  It's not any hotter today than is was 10, 20, 30 years ago.  95 is 95.  100 is 100.  The difference is that people, and this is people in general, do not go outside as much as they used to.  If you hydrate yourself and you are an "outside person" instead of a A/C hugger than your body will get acclimated to the heat.  The one's that normally have problems with the heat are the one's that stay in doors all summer and do not drink enough of the proper fluids.
8. Because they suck and by the time the organization is good again, the so called good players would either be gone or past their prime.  They have to trade anyone they can to build the farm system.  Then they have to get lucky and make a splash with some of the draft picks.  If they continue to follow this plan, astros fans will be happy again around 2017-2020.  If they don't follow this plan astros fans will only be happy when the team is sold and moved out of houston.
9. If they do it right, build there farm system and promote, it will take anywhere from 6 to 10 years.  They are off to a nice start by trading Pence.  I realize that the astros fans are upset but Pence would not be there for the glory years anyway.  Get something for him and if they have anybody else, get those guys traded as well.
10. I have been told that Joe Kirby (former Silsbee assistant) will be taking over at Kountze.
11. Every starter in the RANGERS lineup scored at least one run tonight.
12. The RANGERS win in exciting fashion last night.  Toronto was leading 4-3 going into the bottom of the 9th.  Napoli gets down 0-2 and works all the way back to draw the walk.  Mitch Moreland lays down a sac bunt, to advance Napoli to 2nd, and reaches on an error.  With runners on 1st and 2nd with no outs, Kinsler lays down a sac bunt to move the runners.  With 1 out the RANGERS have runners on 2nd and 3rd with Elvis Andrus coming up.  The squeeze is on and works to perfection.  Napoli scores, to tie the game at 4, and the pinch runner for Moreland advances to 3rd.  Josh Hamilton comes to bat with 2 outs and a runner on 3rd.  The bluejays walk Hamilton which brings Michael Young to the plate.  Michael hits a walkoff single to win the game.  Love watching the RANGERS play baseball!!!
13. Congrats to the Sun Devils.  Can someone give us the roster?  Would like to see which area kids play on this team.
14.
A lady fell from one deck to another the first year (I think) "The Ballpark @ Arlington" opened. Seems like it wouldn't hurt to raise the railings a bit.
I thought the same but after last year's accident it was said that the railings at the ball park are actually 6 inches higher than regulation.
15. Tim Erickson was the pitching coach at HJ last year.

17. Game 6 ends with the astros winning 7-0.  The Silver Boot series ends 4-2 in favor of the TEXAS RANGERS.
18. I hate to 2nd guess coaches/managers, but even Ian Kinsler, during his post game interview, said he was surprised to see Lee running on the pitch.
19. 21-3A Todd Trawhon takes over at Orangefield. Tim Erickson takes over at Hardin-Jefferson. Shea Landry takes over at West Orange Stark.
20. The RANGERS win game 5, 3-2, and win the Silver Boot for the 5th straight year!!!
21. TEXAS takes game 4 by a score of 7-3.
22. If Coach Huckaby is looking for a coach with discipline, then Coach Trawhon will be a great fit.  I don't know anything about Coach Bennett's philosophy but I can promise you that there will be discipline, expectations, and the players will be held accountable under Coach Trawhon.
23. Use aluminum whenever possible.  They last longer than wood bats.
24. The series resume's tonight at minute maid.
25. Congrats Coach.  It's nice to have you back in the game!!!
