I agree. Alamodome's location is great but its a dump compared to most other large arenas. UIL needs to work with the Spurs and secure their new downtown arena for the State tourney when it is built.

The curse lives on. My wife and I have been to at least one Astros game a year starting in 2019 (except 2020 of course) and they have lost every single one. Brought our 2 year old daughter to her first game on Saturday, but she was not enough to break our family's bad juju smh.

Can't say that I watched a lot of the 2026 college baseball season before Regionals started, but it seems like guys are rarely diving for fly balls or grounders in their vicinity on defense. I think Bama could have saved at least a couple runs by showing more effort in the field today.

I wish UIL had the same set up as Louisiana and did best of 3 series for the state championships. Two "local" teams won state across the river in baseball this year: Westlake, and Moss Bluff Sam Houston (wife's alma mater). All of Louisiana's baseball state championship games were played in Sulphur, which surprised me.

Per KOGT: OF will play the Boling Bulldogs. Thursday- 7:00 (Orangefield will be home team) Friday- 7:00 (Boling will be the home team) Saturday- 3:00 (If Necessary) All games will take place at West Fork High School in New Caney. Vidor (19-8-1) will play Huffman in the second round. It’ll be a best of three at Deer Park. Thurs and Fri at 7pm and Saturday at 1pm.

Youth baseball/softball is alive & well in Orange. I live right by the Memorial Fields and the overflow parking when games are going on in the spring make it a pain in the butt going to/from my house. Its a good problem to have imo.
