Yes, that was the final score 24-7.  The doo doo it what your shoveling no balls!! This was a good game and we had our chances, I believe the linejudge missed the Touchdown from the one yardline on 2nd down, that would've made it 21-14, still we should've converted  and unfortunately didn't execute. The boys fought till the end, but lapses cost us. Going into the season we had alot of questions and some predicted a falloff, well I think they did what they could.
Every group of Seniors hates to see it end, this group struggled with covid and losing Coaches(R.I.P.), but they will persevere and the lessons learned on the field will help prepare them for Life.

It’s all subjective…Comes down to who you root for/where you’re from versus who your rival is…for me I couldn’t care less about MCM (yes I’ve been to several over years as my wife’s from Nederland) great atmosphere for sure but it does nothing for me. Ask someone from Silsbee or Jasper and they’ll say their rivalry game is the best or HF and EC the same…Even though it’s totally a one sided  series give me Warren versus Woodville but only because I’m from Tyler County and know how much fun it is for those two communities…

Walsh done for Season, Surgery Tuesday.  Bolden no longer on team, again, who knows.  Bart getting looked at in the morning BMT B J, hoping just a strain, missed this week to rest - knee.

Who cares about the score. Seems as if Woodville has found a kicker 🤣

Not gne lie. The officiating was pretty bad for us last week. Hope we never have those referees again 

It's Monday so it's time for my thoughts on the weekly rankings again.  I'm actually busy at the time of this post so I'll make it short and sweet so here we go:
1. Woodville (1-2) - The Eagles as I stated has an easy slate of opponents coming up and they can only go from here with a beat down of Liberty although that was not the case in the first half but still put it on them when needed most.  (They will be F-I-N-E)
2. Palestine Westwood (3-0) - This is the only team in district that is still undefeated.  I understand what type of opponents that they had to play but district starts in 2 weeks so expect a loss or 2 down the road.
3. Coldspring-Oakhurst (2-1) - The only reason why I've bump them down is because of the loss to H-F and not because of Westwood record for mine and obvious reasons.  H-F's O-Line is by far the biggest we will see this season unless we make it to the playoffs.  Another reason why the Trojans are in this spot is because of the defense holding H-F to only 2 points the entire second half.
4. Diboll (1-2) - I was very tempted to move them above Coldspring in my esteem rankings because they played the defending state champs but their first half performance left a little bit less to be desired but the second half they showed up but a loss is a loss and the Trojans record is better (although the teams Coldspring beat can't hold Franklin's jockstrap at all).  This team should get better as the season progresses.
5. Shepherd (1-2) - The game against Orangfield should show a bit of indication of where the Pirates may wind up this season.  A terrible loss to the Bobcats nevertheless.
T. 6. Crockett and Huntington (0-3) - The records speaks for itself one team is very young and the other one history speaks for themselves.

Yes for sure as it looks like it would be Columbus if thing hold.  We have playmaker but scheme is still forecasted, we never look off relievers, backs are slow to follow blocks, we run east west not north south.  I've tried to keep calm from the early bandwagon bunch, but last week I noticed the stands are more of a social event rather than true football game.  Then 80 goes out and asks for Props, please  just play the dang game if people want to give praise then so be it, don't ask.

Allready??Already??? You'd think a super fan would've known the game started at 7. Either in the stands or streaming like I did, from another time zone.  
As for the game same as usual, Halftime adjustments...????...scoreless in third qtr again.  Have got to offensively wake up, too inconsistent. Defense of course is our strong side.

Probably the best best team the eagles have left on the schedule. I'd like to see a defensive shutout and to cut out all the turnovers offensively. Gotta expect Coldspring will probably come out with high energy and try to match that energy from start to finish.

Eagles playing with a hangover, up 21-7, I guess......Needs to be cleaned. Not playing like the first two.  I expect a better second half.

Don't really consider it a win. More like a positive loss that may indicate winning toward the end of the season when it counts based on the level the guys seem to be playing at right now. 

So nobody is going to give Woodville’s 4-2-5 any credit? 2 TDS given the entire scrimmage? Against one of the top programs in Texas Football history? I was there and one (if not both) should have been blown dead. Those boys (who mostly played both ways) came to play. Even after the 2 defense came in, they still didn’t give up anything while QB1 and RB1 from WOS when in there! Kudos to the players and coaches from Woodville!!
