  1. Let me clarify for 78stang when I said Great coaches....did not say all time great coaches...that is reserved for only 2 I know and that would be Chuck Young and Ronnie Anderson.

Now the resume before they decided to change their career path, Sam Moore was a very successful HS asst. coach at LCM and a very good HC at WOS....and made very deep playoff runs with BC. Chris Fackler was a very successful Asst. Coach at McNeese St. and once given the HC duties broke numerous records offensively and took the Cowboys to the playoffs. Coach Griff over at LCM is the one setting the bar so high for all of the local HS programs with continuous playoff appearances and District titles.

So what I meant was as a young up and coming coach who wouldn't want to learn from these guys!!  OBVIOUSLY not 78stang!!!

Good Luck Shea, and how dare those other guys make a living on baseball!!!  lol
  2. Well Shea has tutored under and with some great names in local baseball such as LCM's Steve Griffith, Former WOS and BC HC Sam Moore and Former College HC Chris Fackler and if you ask any of them they new this day was coming, he knows the game and will be a dedicated coach that will teach the kids the proper way to play the game and those kids will get better because of it.

As far as questioning the decision not to post it and try to get a experience HC....they made the right choice. And i am still laughing at the post about the terrible language and how her son will not play.....
  3. Just finished a full college year watching my son and teammates use the new BBCOR....there is a major difference, some players that hit 11 or 12 HR's the prior year, hit 2 or 3 this year. I will say this when you catch it flush it will go but the sweet spot seems smaller.

I also will tell you that if it was wood there would have been a ton of broken bats this year but instead it looked like a lot more dink hits that would normally be fly outs with the old bats.

Power numbers were down but you can still put up the runs and if you can hit doesn't matter what kind of bat you have. I did get feed back that wood jumps better than the BBCOR.
  4. University of Houston-Victoria completed the final home weekend of the 2011 season and Local players Broc Haymon-BC and Jerrod Dugas-LCM played a big part:

Dugas capped off a good year with a 4-5 performance scoring 3 runs and adding 2rbi"s to finish the season at .302 and a conf. average of .444 ties for 4th in the A.I.I

The boys head to Thomasville, Ga. for the conf. tourney begining Wed. 5-4
