  1. This year is probably the ugliest I have seen some of these calls made by the refs! And the funny part is it goes from the NFL all the way down to our own High School football games. The gripe isn't going to fix anything I know but gosh...where does the UIL get some of these guys? Im not trying to badmouth any of them but are they shorthanded right now with experienced officials? is it lack of experience? Some of these guys need to have their vision checked. I don't know...I just really wonder sometimes "what are they thinking"

  2. L TRAIN BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Who goes??

Stlill loving that signature line Luv ya Blue,  tell me again what Lumberton's record is against Vidor.  Oh yeah I remember, yall have lost 10 out of 14 against the Pirates.  We own you!!!  But then again, does Lumberton have a winning record against any school in Southeast Texas, that would be a good homework assignment for you.  Im guessing it would take a while to find a team that a Lumberton fan could honestly say "They finally beat us" ;D ;D ;D

Oh and by the way, no one gets in after week 3 of District.

Last time I checked, it doesn't matter about who won the games in the past...It matters who wins the games that counts! Both vidor and lumberton played games last nite that they needed to win. Now I could be a big @$$ and rub it in, but what is the point? Time to quit looking in the rearview and start moving forward.

As far as who makes it in the final 4....their was lots of unexpected upsets lastnite that I am sure will probably cause some headaches for determining that at the end of the district run. A few more weeks and we soon shall know.

Oh and I agree with you Scooter!

    [move]OU sucks! GO HORNS!![/move]

  3. Great job both teams....They both gave all they had and the better team walked away a winner! Lumberton proved me wrong big time! This game was a great game that had me on the edge of my seat all night! Lumberton's Defense was a total night and day difference from what I saw at the vidor game. Keep the momentum going and keep getting better!!

BTW did anyone at the game notice some of the "WOW" calls by the refs? A few times they couldnt make up their mind which team they wanted to put the foul on. But they can keep calling all the penalties they want....it's not gonna slow down THE TRAIN!

    [move]CHOO CHOOOOOOOOO!!!![/move]

  4.   All those missed tackles and blown defensive assignments against WOS, Nederland has no room to say Ozen has no discipline.  And as far as Lumberton goes, once every 40 years doesn't change the fact that speed kills and Waller prove that to you guys.  ;D

You think speed kills??  I guess when we beat La Marque their speed beat us huh? No wait how bout central....their speed beat us huh??  What about Dayton's speed?  Skills and technique will overcome speed....some day you will figure that out!

  5. In Raider's quarterback Hughes first game he looked rough....his passes looked like kicks going end over end. In the second game I was thrilled to see him executing that late 1st half drive that lead to a score, he looked more calm in the pocket and took his time to find the open man and the passes throughout the game couldn't have been better.

Bottom line is and I don't give a crap what others think....Coach Creduer knows what the heck he is doing and he is bringing out the pride in our players (something lumberton never had in the past), and along with that he let's these kids know what they are capable of doing. He doesn't doubt what they can do one bit. We are getting better and it's about to get ugly!

And at these games our Fans need to get into the game and cheer every once in a while, sometimes when I cheered I got looked at funny....There is that pride thing I was talking about only now our fans need to absorb some of this.

  6. The kid may be the best player on Silsbee & the best player on the field at his position but it is definitely up for debate who is the best football player overall on the field out of both teams. BTW, Lumberton has heard the "speed kills" phrase numerous times before...Central, Dayton, & LaMarque to name a few, and it didn't matter. Lumberton has some speed on defense to stop Silsbee's QB...trust me! He may make some big plays, not saying he won't, but in the end Lumberton can handle that speed and should prevail in this one. Oh..., & one more thing Diboll and Lumberton are not the same team.

    X 2.

I wish everyday was a friday!

  7. Lumberton is going to start being consistent from here on out, the one thing that we didn't have in the past that made us a contender in district play was getting these kids started at a young age (pee wee football) which was finally put into place in the late 1990's I believe. Last years team had about 8 years experience playing with the same guys and head coach which paid off finally breaking into the playoffs. Getting these kids started at a young age is really what its all about so teaching them the basics while they are young and allowing them to grow.
