In the 1st year, senior leadership is almost as much a factor as the coaching change itself. Many people discount how much effect seniors have on lower classes in practice and attitude. You are right that seniors buying into the system can go a long way for the new program.

Since we are completely off topic... Newton has been holding our spot in line and there is no other team in setx that we would rather stand in for us. The newton rivalry is filled with respect on both sides. Much like our historic rivalry with jasper. He is correct that they haven't been there in a while. The numbers were down to maybe 10 or 15 just 5 years ago. They have made great improvements recently. Not sure how many now, but the quality is much better. I'm not sure why they choose not to participate.
