who played qb? Also how were the freshmen?
Johnson and Bost both played QB. I heard the Freshman Purple (A-Team) lost to Clear Lake.
-
PN-G JV 31-0 over Clear Lake. I believe Clear Lake only had one first down.

We do not look much improved on defense. We have a good linebacker and a good corner. I do think Girourd will turn into a good safety. He has all the intangibles, just needs a little more experience. My main worry is the D line. Zero push. Film should show this. I would make those 2 spots a open tryout. Ends looked decent. I think we have enough to contain, with enough speed in the secondary as well. Hughes will be ok as well as Anniboli. Rembert will head the unit up. Coaching staff should be able to make adjustments after watching the film. I do think we will be better in the secondary over last year. Vidrine is a good athlete, he will solidify himself on one corner, Logan will shut down one side. The main issue I seen was the d tackles..
One of our starting DT's, Luke Morris, is injured and did not suit up last night. He will probably be back week one or at the latest week two.
Hauck on the O-Line did not suit up as well!

PNG will beat Nederland this year, too many offensive weapons. I'm just curious to see how our defense comes out this year, as always I m concerned with the defense. Another big question will be the Running backs. No big name stud back their its time to see who is going to stand up and be the man.
Runnels will be a RB Stud. Bank on it!

Faircloth's down fall has been no priority to the defensive side of the ball. If we EVER developed a defense we'd be hard to stop!!! The bend but don't break coaching has to go!!

Defense should be pretty good this year, 6 returning starters on D that I can think of, and 2-3 more that played significant minutes and spot started. Also a new 4-3 defensive set is what I'm being told. Should play much more aggressively!

us and WOS really appreciate being able to have our highly experienced coaches whoop y'all's 1st time head coach.
imo all he does is throw the ball well, and he does do that. Can't make a pimple on Neauman and Thompsons a&$
Harmon, Bertrand, Halfin. All these guys were at the top, or near the top of the district in rushing numerous years and some all state nods as well. I'd say Faircloth gets the job done on the ground as well.
-
Finished 4-1How did PNG do?
-
Fact is that's what he said, nothing emotional about it! Secondly, far from it on me or my kids! So, what is your point?
Bottom line throw out year 1 and what do you have?.
Bout 500% seasons, right?
Just facts not emotions, did Burnett not play you or one of your kids? -
I heard Burnett say when he left with my own ears that the group he was leaving did not have any talent! All in fun, you guys do kick a&$$ in 7on7 and you had that string in the 80/90s that beat us.
IMO the deal breaker is the experience our coaches bring to the table. Your guy have one HECK of a Qb coach.
Thompson and Neuman just out experience him --- heck they are old enough to be his Dad-- it is his first HC job though.
It was Burnetts too and he brought you all to many playoffs and a Title game.
Look at the talent he left Faircloth for his first year.
Anyway, good luck in the FINEST High School game in the GREAT STATE OF TEXAS, my friend!!!!!!! -

Nathan Vidrine is the PN-G JV QB. He is very good.

PN-G 30-14How lopsided was it last year as freshman, granted McZeal was on JV, I Dont have that score handy
-
If PN-G had all it's Sophomore's on JV and Nederland had all it's Sophomore's on JV. I'd take PN-G by 20 easily and feel fully confident!Ned has mor sophs starting on varsity
-
Were those same 4 on JV earlier this year when PN-G's JV beat Nederland's JV 32-9 I believe?Ned moved up 4 jv players this week.
-
PN-G JV wins 30-0
PN-G Freshman A wins 20-15 -
PN-G freshman A team is up 20-15 over Lumberton with 3:43 to go.
-
Extremely talented sophomore class! From what I hear this PNG jv team is special...I haven't seen them play yet
-
I don't think this is surprising, I believe this PN-G JV team beat this Lumberton group last year as freshman something like 54-0.Oh wow wasn't lumberton jv undefeated?
-
PN-G JV was up 30-0 at half over Lumberton.
-
Then you've never seen him coach!I've never seen Faircloth pull the starters
-
PN-G JV????
PN-G JV won 40-9 over the Ganders. It was 32-0 at the end of the 1st QTR and I don't believe Baytown had gained a positive yard. PN-G called off the dogs early are it could have gotten way out of control. It was rather sad!
PN-G Freshman A team also beat the Ganders but I don't know the score.

Morris a Soph?[/quote
He's a JR. -
If you knew much about the sophomore group you would understand why that comment was made about next years team being better! Not sure about better, but good yes. Losing Hughes, Murdock, Anabole and Walker on defense is going to be tough. Hughes makes that defense go!

PN-G JV won 26-12. PN-G had about twenty penalties and played pretty sloppy or it would have been much worse.
Freshman Purple was up 22-0 at half.
Freshman White won also but I don't know the score.- runbabyrun, hookem14 and NDNation

They did not play against each other. Cleveland (94) was in 8th grade when McGill (90) was a senior.
But, you are correct, McGill was the best, I played with him!
