Soulja, you guys remember leaving Lumberton unhappy last year? Well get ready for the L Train to Roll.
Are you sure it is back on the track after getting DERAILED! the little train that couldnt.
-
Obviously Vidor didn't get the regional final memo. CONGRATS VIDOR.
Obviously you didnt get the Oct. 4 memo! ;D
-
The little train that dud!
-
Lumberton is not what they were last year. Not even close despite what the little train that could thinks.
-
I said it when I saw them play last week. That were untested and that have a long way to go in this district. They may get third or fourth in the district much to the displeasure of the little train that could.
-
You must have a great teacher! ;D ;DIn no particular order...
1. Livingston probably won't enjoy 20-4a
2. LC-M is in total disarray STILL
3. PN-G is taking care of business even without home games
4. Josh Wright is a very good and consistent back
5. Vidor/Central is becoming a rivalry
6. Asa Cardenas catches EVERYTHING he gets his hands on
7. Ozen should throw to their big WR's more
8. Grogan gives Nederland a whole new threat on offense
9. Lumberton is still pretty salty even without all those seniors
10. There might be hope for the much maligned Nederland run defense
In all seriousness, these are dead on. I kind of disagree with 7 and 8. The big receivers still havn't proved to me that he can take over a game against defenders that he outleap (and believe me, he can jump) defenders that he already have 6 inches on. Grogan have not proved he can do that against a good defense.
I agree with both of you here. Except I still think Lumberton from what Ive seen is fighting for the bottom spots in this district.
-
I love these people that have a year of success and they think that they are unstoppable now! Come back to reality you had a great year last year and your team is nowhere near what it was. Yes you will probably make the playoffs but if you do it will be as a third or fourth seed if you get in. You wont be beat png or nederland and you may get through ozen and central because you never know which team is going to show for those two.
-
Wow! I just left at halftime and both teams seem to be at a standstill. Great adjustments at half.. Just goes to show that good coaching can overcome talented obstacles.
-
Mark my words, Livingston WILL NOT win a game in 20-4A this year.
You are right they are terrible! I watched a half of it and had to leave it was ridiculous. Lumberton has a ways to go before they can get their hopes up. They will struggle to get into the playoffs this year from what I saw.

I'm sorry but on those particular examples those were coaching decisions. Then for you to compare talent that's not even an issue. Jasper has always had talent, but no coaches to perhap coach that talent. So WTB those excuses want work !!!!!! I guarantee jasper fans would agree .
Im sure they would agree because it is easy to point the finger. Along with talent you have to be somewhat intelligent. And Im not talking just book intelligence Im talking football intelligent. And that comes from putting in extra time watching film and studying the game. Many kids dont do that unless they are forced to and I guarantee it is readily available for them to do so on their own.

This is a ridiculous topic and it shows just how ignorant the person that started this is! I dont even need to meet this person and probably can tell you that he was a 3rd string guard who never saw the field in his day and his superstar son is not getting the playing time and if he was then jasper would be blowing everyone out. Its always the coach's fault and never the kid that misses a block, blows a coverage or forgets a snap count that is at fault. Some people just dont know when to keep their mouth shut. See what this moron doesnt realize is that Coach Brooks chooses his coaching staff and most these guys have more than proving themselves on knowing the game and trying to put kids in the best situation to succeed. This type stuff just aggravates me when "know it alls" start this type of topic and even gets feedback.

Where is the "great" brook? :

From the Beaumont Enterprise Website (Wednesday 9-10-08 at 12:30pm)
Hurricane Ike concerns have forced several high school football coaches to reschedule games from Friday to Thursday, but the status of games for Beaumont ISD’s three teams remains unclear.
West Brook, Central and Ozen all play Houston area schools, which makes rescheduling more difficult, West Brook coach Craig Stump said.
Stump said West Brook will either play or cancel its 7 p.m. Friday home game against Spring Westfield. The game cannot be moved to Thursday because of travel concerns, he said.Central is scheduled to play Friday at home against Galveston Ball and Ozen is scheduled for Saturday at Houston Worthing.
Schools close together can more easily reschedule games because there is less travel, Stump said.
Port Neches-Groves coach Matt Burnett said his team’s game at Texas City is pushed back a week to Sept. 19. Memorial’s home game against Houston Nimitz is still set for Friday.
As for games moved to Thursday, here’s an updated schedule:
Nederland at Waller, 6 p.m.
Houston Furr at Kelly, 6 p.m.
Vidor at Hardin-Jefferson, 6 p.m.
West Orange-Stark at Kirbyville, 6 p.m.
Orangefield at Liberty, 6:30 p.m.
Tarkington at Buna, 6:30 p.m.
Cypress Christian at Legacy, 7 p.m.
Hamshire-Fannett at East Chambers, 7 p.m.
Shepherd at Hardin, 7 p.m.
Coldspring at Corrigan-Camden, 7:30 p.m.
Hemphill at Deweyville, 7:30 p.m.
Kipp Academy at High Island, 7:30 p.m.
Little Cypress-Mauriceville at Bridge City, 7:30 p.m.
Lumberton at Silsbee, 7:30 p.m.
Newton at Diboll, 7:30 p.m.
Woodville at Warren, 7:30 p.m.
Still set for Friday:
Shelbyville at Mount Enterprise, 7:30 p.m.
Scared I think but trying to be smart about it.

They will find out real quick when Westfield and Katy come marching to town! O and when they go meet North Shore They will found out just how tough they are!

I think that football is southeast texas is so good that it does not matter what size the school on any given day the smaller school are willing to go agaist the big boys. I also think the reason these post are getting so ugly and competive is that several of our area school are very good this year. I think teams like WOS, Kirbyville, Jasper, and Newton have a very good chance of going to state. Most of our big school are exciting to watch and will be pretty good but I think that our small schools have reached a level that is like no other in the state. I think that this year them Waco area teams had better look out cause its southeast time to take their spotlight!!!
You are going off topic. The fact is all the above mentioned teams would get smoked by West Brook. Those small schools may have a better shot at winning state, but that's because of competition not how good the team is. None of these schools would come within points of beating the Bruins.
LOL! Favorite statement. Sign of extreme intelligence.

Good quote, but you will never get big headed morons from the almighty B-town to admit that any other team in this area should even step on a field with the almighty westbrook. But I am glad to see that there is someone else on this board that has some sense of overall talent and scheme of the game. Gives me hope.
-
They had three or four starters out. And still have a couple out. They will get it done when it all comes down to it.
-
I'll Take the Horns 7-6 over the Cougars. If you like Wing-T football you'll be in Heaven.
Ignorance! buna by 30 or more
-
wos would def contend more than a 30 point spread ....
thats WAY too cocky
I have a lot of respect for WOS and their program's history. But West Brook is way too strong this year. The Mustangs would get run right off the field. You might want to go and look at what the WOS fans were posting on this website after the Dayton/WOS scrimmage. All were talking about Dayton being to good and a stronger team, well what do you think the Bruins would do the Pony Express then?
Man i dont know who you are watching or not watching! Or who is lying to you but WB is not that good! They are descent football team at best and a very very average 5a team at best. You need to get out of Beaumont for a night.
If West Brook is just descent at best then every other team in Southeast Texas is trash. Whether or not you are willing to admit it the Bruins are the best team in this area.
Not true! I guarantee you havent seen any other teams in this area play.
-
Ok guys--enough of EarlWick--you guys keep giving him amo and he keeps misfiring.
WB is well above average and it does not matter how many points they need to score to prove it.
Not everybody will see them because they only play Central and Ozen and with exception to Ozens Mr. finest the fans of these two teams have been quite fair and showed the proper respect.
Additionally, Central and Ozen have earned the respect of most of the Brook fans and i believe the other area teams will underestimate the potenial of these programs. So, I will go out on a limb and say that Central and Ozen can speak up for my Bruins by playing to their potential and winning the games they should have been winning all along.
So, lets take the Brook out of this equation and let you guys go at it with the other best team in the area.
BTW--sorry Earl, while you do have an opinion, it just flat ain't working for you. LOL
Not trying to make it work. Just call as I see it. WB will finish 3 or 4 in their district is my prediction if Michaels stays healthy and I hope he does because he is a top notch back.
-
Ive seen and know plenty! lol And werent you one of the ones saying that you were going to whip newton?
-
and we can say the same when we play your team oh nothing they played EC
Easy little man your not that good!
