  1. It is amazing how fast some of these kids grow. My son is also incoming freshman at Ned and he went from 5'9 200 to 6'1 and 220. He spent the summer at Mid county fitness working out and also speed camp really big changes. Alot of his friends have grown so much Zach Taylor went from 5'6 to 5'11 crazy. I know that the Ned boys are excited to carry on a perfect streak they started in 7th grade. They were undefeated as 7th graders and were never scored on in 8th grade at C.O.Wilson and u add some excellent players from Central and it all looks great fro Ned. I think it is going to a great next several years for the 20-4a district alot of big  boys all over from LUM to PN-G but I am alittle bias and think these young men at Ned will be a force to reckon with.

  2. Got to watch some good scrimmages at Nederland over the weekend. Bcats looked OK need alittle help with setter but good team chemistry. H-F good team speed very close to being an excellent team. Kountze looked ok small team in size and players but work hard. Nederland looked good excellent team chemistry first in a few years alittle slow on defense. WBrook looked ok not real fast play need better team chemistry but will be tough in 5a. All in all everyone played decent but it looked like H-F and Nederland played the best but scrimmages are not games, but I think these two teams will be tough in their prospective  districts.

  3. Nederland has two Middle School teams moving up next year to ninth grade that should be very good. C.O.Wilson went undefeated for 2 straight years and were scored on twice as 7th graders and 0 as 8th graders. Then you had some great atheletes from Central Middle School and you should have a recipe for success.

  4. PN-G politics will dictate how well Coach Faircloth does. PN-G is a fickle place, they want success but only if thier kids are playing. The elite or connected people the whos who.The same happened with Malone but excuses were made to get him out because he did things his way . I hope the new coach has great success but I hope he has great strength and patience because he will need it.Coming from Odessa Permian he knows great tradition so no worries there. I think right now he has more to worry about than Big Ned, but watch out Nederland has some BAD TO THE BONE players heading in to make history!

  5. Well you know Lumberton had a chance and they backed out. C.O.Wilson was ready and Lumberton had plenty of places to practice but they chose not to. So they can not say they are champions of any form. I will say that I feel that C.O.Wilson would win for they have  not been scored on yet this year and have only allowed 9 first downs in 5 games while averaging 39 points a game. But we will never know!

  6. I would have to say that C.O. Wilson 8th grade team will be tough to beat. They were undeafeated last year as 7th graders and they were only scored on twice. BC has had an all summer workout program as well as H F. Of course WOS is always full of atheletes with speed to spare. I would really have to say that C O Wilson will be a great team with a good depth at all postions and a big line up front .
