  1. Class-less? HaHa!!! We aren't classless...remember...haven't we topped district 21-3A since dropping from 4A??? Class? That's hilarious!!!
  2. Did you refer to your own comments before pm'ing me???
  3. I just wonder how "bad" we will be beat by BC. You are "back-less" aren't you? At least that's the word from folks in BC.
  4. I have heard that Mills is not the only one being looked at. In fact, word was there were "quite a few" kids who might be involved. I just hope that if these rumors are true...the usual sweeping under the rug needs to be stopped because in doing so...you're not doing these kids any favors.
  5. Anyone know who that would be? I'll bet he is a happy soul. ;D
  6. Will Mills' disqualification from regionals, will the 4th place district winner get bumped up to have the opportunity to run at regionals?
  7. No...I assume E.Thomas. Mills is a completely other ball game. BTW...will the 4th place finisher in district bump up and get to go to Regionals? Didn't know how that works? I believe it might have been Seth Thomas from WO-S (I think). ???
  8. I have heard a rumor, but I wouldn't dare post something unsubstantiated on here. As for Earl...had the officials felt that it was "classless" and worthy of reprimand...don't you think that they would have dq'd him? I am not taking up for him because I don't know why he turned his head...you know...sometimes tracksters do look around to see how close their closest opposition is to them. Like I said, I don't know. I think that people who were pulling for Dishon to whoop Earl probably saw more into it than those either pulling for Earl or looking to see an awesome race between some top athletes in our area. Either way, the point was proven.....................Earl beat Dishon.
  9. Decisions. Decisions!
  10. Two words for ya....STOP SMOKING!!! Earl is faster than Dishon. I mean, even Cody Mills is faster than Dishon and Earl can top both of them. ;D
  11. Actually, we would probably fare well sticking to football, basketball, and track. We may not have went to the state tourney this year, but we did make it to regionals and state last year in basketball. Not too shabby. We also have some really good track prospects. We would be bored if we "just stuck to football". Thank goodness we have more to look forward than that!!!
  12. Great showing District 21-3A. There were some really exciting races. Congrats to all who advanced to Humble for Regionals. Especially, the WO-S Mustangs!!!
  13. TWO WORDS.... Jacoby Franks!!!
  14. WO-S' relay teams did well today. Congrats guys!!!
  15. I saw a piece on Pickering. She's going to Australia and is fund-raising by selling candy and stuff. That is great. She may not have made all of the state teams, but I wouldn't mind traveling down under to play some ball. ;D
  16. I would think that WO-S would be listed somewhere in there, wouldn't you!!! I mean, aren't we the "winningest team in the state" or something? That should count for something!!! ;D I would have to agree that Permian should be up there, too.
  17. Hey there dude...guess what??? We'll be able to see who's faster Friday during the finals. No need for trash talking!!!
  18. If you missed the track meet on Tuesday...you missed the race of the district. Funny thing is...it was the JV 4 X200 meter relay. Kudos to WO-S' boys who fell during the first handoff, stood for a couple of seconds (probably in shock), and then came back to win the race. You four young men had everyone in the stands hollering and in awe at the same time. Congrats to: Hypolite, Woody, Chase, and James. You guys did great and showed everyone what Mustangs are made of!!! ;D Did anyone get video of it?
  19. What about the "little people"? You know...3A, 2A, 1A!!! :'(
  20. LU is a good school with lots to offer. I just don't believe WO-S' two Brittneys would have chosen to go there...nothing personal. Tidwell was better qualified to take the job and he should do a good job. Perhaps, he can recruit locally more because if more local talent is recruited, then more fan support comes with it. As for Orebo, I wish her luck wherever she goes.
  21. I don't believe that either WO-S' Brittneys would have played at Lamar. Brittney had more offers and for her own personal reasons, she chose North Texas. As for the little dribblers program, I'll just say one thing...most kids' families at WO-S can't afford the time nor the money for little dribblers. That's just a fact and that includes myself. Sometimes it's not a matter of the kids and their parents "wanting" to put more time, money, and energy into developing their basketball skills. Unfortunately for many of us at WO-S, we don't have much of any of that. OF has always had a good girls' basketball program (very fundamental) since Coach Tennison was there. Those girls would have excelled throughout their high school career whether Ancelot was there or not. (And that is an opinion shared by more than just myself...those words actually came out of an avid Bobcat fan.)
  22. I remember three or four years ago, Memorial broke us up (literally). It wasn't nice at all. We had several kids out for a while after that game. It's also a difficult game/scrimmage because they have SOOOOO many players versus the smaller schools with kids playing both ways.
  23. No matter who got hired at Lamar...several of these girls would barely consider going to LU. Nothing personal, but they are looking to go to bigger schools. This guy looks to have some incredible credentials and compared to a high school coach...there is no contest...you have to go with him. I was talking to a Bobcat fan the other day about this issue and she said that ancelot was good, but that particular group of kids got where they did because of their desire. People are quick to give kudos to coaches like ancelot and damn coaches like Orebo. ancelot was blessed with a hungry bunch of girls and there were a bunch. Orebo had some extremely talented players in BJ and BScott, but talent is not always, as easy as everyone thinks it is, to coach. WO-S' problem is always depth. I don't think ancelot would have gotten the Lady Mustangs any further than what Orebo did. They did what they could with what they had. That being said...this is an amazing class of kids (2007), not just in Mustang-land, but looks like district-wide. Good luck to all at the next level.
  24. The Mustangs will be at McNeese this Saturday. They were in Diboll tonight and fared pretty well.
