BIG STEPPER....

Coaches, we fuss argue disagree more than we agree but that's apart of sports. I'm trying to put the baddest "showcase" team together and I need you guys help! Looking for some STUD players! NO DADDY BALL or NO FRIENSHIP BALL. The team that I'm putting together will travel to College Station Tx. and go against the best KIDS in their Region…. I've posted a flyer on my Facebook pg. Danny Gorrer the team roster has to be fill by Dec 21, 2020. Hope you guy can drop the small beef and help out in trying to get ALL our kids to see bigger than SETX FOOTBALL. I look forward to hearing from you ALL. 11U is the age I am coaching....

Danny I’m afraid you’ve got it twisted here. You have no idea who I am or what I stand for at all. I have played football with guys you might know Jason Carter from Caldwell, Texas and Billy Pittman from Cameron, Texas. They might be a little older  than you but those are some friends of mine but I’ll call them acquaintances now because as life happens we lose contact. First off don’t ever call me racist because I’m the last person on this message board who’s racist. I have family in PAISD who have played football for PAISD. My children are 3/4 Hispanic. Also my playing years were over in fall of 2000 when I broke my ankle playing college football. I did come home at 19 years old coaching The line for Pop Warner Football in Nederland, then after I got married I helped start a football league in Lake Jackson/Clute Texas(which was a blessing to see numerous young men put what we instilled in them to become college prospects as they came up through through Brazosport ISD system), and then I coached in Conroe in which I had the blessing to coach my nephew(again had the blessing to see numerous young men put what we instilled in them to become college prospects). The only reason I say what we instilled in them is because that’s what each one told me when we would go watch them play Thursday and Friday nights as they grew up after we were finished coaching for years. I DON’T SAY THIS BECAUSE I’M SOME AMAZING COACH BUT IM SAYING MY COACHING PHILOSOPHY AND WHO I AM ISN’T WHO YOU THINK. My oldest played in Orangefield when the group of freshman and sophomores now went through the program. That group went to 7 semifinal games, 4 Super Bowls but lost to a great group of WOS young men twice. When I coached it wasn’t about where my son played. Also my son played center every single year of his youth career because that’s where his team needed him. He didn’t like it but he was taught it’s not about what you want it’s about what your team needs you to be. He played his heart out every game. He was an undersized center in height and weight. Now he’s earning his Old English N in Nederland. When I coached It was about putting the best athletes in positions to be successful. We also taught them we are not just a team it’s a brotherhood that will last for years to come. I taught them you play for the person next to you because we are family and family doesn’t let each other down. So no plays off. We also taught them football techniques, gaps, holes, assignments, and could run a no huddle with them running 6-9 plays straight. That’s been my coaching philosophy and that was instilled in me in 7th grade by the great middle School Coach from Nederland Jack Lynch. I coached 1 year in Nederland on a great Pee Wee team but got beat by the better team you were coaching I believe or maybe even helping in the Super Bowl. I commend you on what you’re doing for those boys, your community, and teaching those boys the game of football you love. Which I am sure they are loving just as much. Congratulations on another Super Bowl victory. Just FYI my thoughts on a message board has nothing to do with race at all. It has everything to do with seeing kids in all organizations within STJFL having games turned into hot messes by coaches, parents, fans, and refs. I’ve umpired baseball for 18 years now and stopped being football referee when my oldest started playing. You know what ruins youth sports? UNEDUCATED PARENTS on sport rules and parents who believe little Johnny is better than he really is. Also I’m not a Nederland Senior Coach. My youngest son played Nederand Youth Football on the Senior team. He was their starting center and defensive tackle #77. He was center all but 1 year in youth football. He was undersized for those positions but I would say he held his own against bigger and stronger talent. In my opinion the success of your youth program isn’t super bowl trophies but what those boys learn from you the coaches to carry with them into school ball. Then how They grow from there. I apologize for my comment PA middle school that’s on me. Like I said I feel bad for those boys because they deserve a season. Coaches, sorry I'm late to this party didn't believe guys had a voice anymore. But I see one guys is a little loud now as he walks away which is typical but @D.C.BULLDOGS hi my name is Danny Gorrer I was the HC over the SR team this year. As a man I stand for more then just a "LITTLE LEAGUE" coaching. I see pass RACE, PA, GROVES, and also NEDERLAND. CUT to the chase behind all the key board "CRAP" this game took me to another LEVEL in life so ME PERSONALLY not living threw my SON which is 4... I don't believe teams its YOU GUYS/ VIDOR that don't want to play PA, TRULY what's the issues? Sounds like its more personally for YOU."HINT"... BLACK and WHITE? Is things perfect here in PA absolutely NOT, but what does another man has to be scared of someone for? have to heard someone threaten someone to give PA something? What does middle school ball has to do with anything? I "heard" there were issues when PNG/NED played what's the differences? WE both no that's ALL DADDY BALL on that SR team but who really cares heck you want to coach your son great but again what's the differences? That came from the league and them same refers you were speaking about! COMPETITIONS brings the worst out of all of US but RACISM is who YOU are! I've never though a child to do anything dirty to another KID. Can you honestly say the same? It does suck when you can't line up and beat someone so you point out others flaws so yours/ coaches don't show.... Sorry if I missed any topic you touch I'm riding high still on yet another SUPER BOWL WIN.... 4 IN A ROW..... OH and I don't need a keyboard for my voice to be heard we can meet up hang out and have a few cold ones and "fellowship" however you may like.... You guys are the biggest cowards and doing a piss poor job of leading young men! Teaching them it’s okay to not freaking complete is setting them up to be losers. Yes ALL this over “Little League” football! It’s a schedule put in place for a reason, it’s not to pick the games we can win then forfeit games we can’t! What are you teaching the kids? What kinda man are you do even do that to other kids. My kids bust there butt all week for there last “HOMECOMING” to be told sorry the game won’t be played! They don’t want to play y’all. YES they are Cowards!!!! Please for you try to label ME AS A “THUG” “Ignorant” are anything you put in your mind of me. I’ve completed every level of schooling! EVERY LEVEL OF SPORTS! And last but not lease may work the same JOB AS YOU IF NOT BETTER! It’s the Principle-able for me. Stand for something or fall for anything!

I'd just like to say this. Football is life in my household HOWEVER, life and life events are more important than football. With that being said, there's nothing wrong with pushing things back one week. Thanks a bunch to those in STJFL that voted to still play today. Hopefully, those that THOUGHT they'd squeeze a win/forfeit learned a very VALUABLE lesson today.

Sorry it took me so long to reply. But what's running up the score? the rules states take your starting back field out correct? Well how bout this all the starters was out, ran the same play "twice" they tackle the first time the second times 3 kids missed the tackle. My idea is instead of crying practiced tackling and you guys wont feel the score is being ran up.

Just talking in general, lets all just STOP faking. YES we ALL hold "DRAFTS" clearly league rules! Every team/ Coach is drafting there players period yes u get a few new kids but u r going into the draft as in im going after all my kids again and ill pick up a few new pieces on the way! But thats called CHEATING? r BENDING the RULES how? instead of being a MAN and facing reality with saying that coach just out coached me we use as an EXCUSE he r she is CHEATING..... ill tell yall the truth about every team we played on PW this is coming from a PA BLK coach.
PA Blk 8 PA Red 0 hard fought game. Kids know each other 
PNGG 0 PA BLK 38 PNG had a GREAT plan just over thought his self. All of our first yr and younger kids played that game

Its mixed with both honestly wit a few first yr tackle kids thats starting on PA BLK PeeWee. Sometimes its just about coaching a kid up and getting him to play hard and just have fun. Alot of COACHES looks at it as just PeeWee football and yes it is, but when u give so much time why not take it serious? Its not about an ego with NONE of PA BLK PeeWee COACHES AT ALL.... Yes, it does feel good to see ur team go out and play well and do things that u coach! Feels even better to report to your KIDS that they have a chance to play and win a SUPER BOWL AGAIN and to be TALKED about like LEGENDS in our EYES. So with all that said  we have NO REASON to cheat stacks teams etc. The TITANS made the PLAYOFFS on all LEVELS this yr. Thats just like the Nederland BLK team yes they drafted but drafted their kids with a few new pieces, i know cause we played them last YR n the second round and WON with a team full of first yr TACKLE kids so getting a kid to play hard is doable.... Know knock to Ned JRs at all, just was using them as EX......

No one holds more open registration then PA and it's not even close. I'm sure player cards and everything was looked at along with rosters from previous years to make sure PA checked out. Therefore it was extra attention paid to things that has never been done like a draft. We could of choose to have first year draft instead we choosing the expansion draft route. Look at the overall records you don't see not a one bottom feeder and when the teams played all the scores returned even teams. More of the fact this weekend PA Jr. Black falling to Nederland Jr. Black by 3 points after PA Jr red beat PA Black to open the season by 27 pts. If we can get the same games from Nederland Jr Black and PA Red as the first game and PNG Sr vs PA Sr we should be in for a treat. Sit back and settle in for some hard hitting Super Bowl Games.
