Baylor and TCU in the playoffs over 2 SEC teams?
badndn replied to king's topic in College Sports Forum
TCU intrigues me more than Baylor. TCU with the exception of the Baylor second half, plays defense well enough to make some noise. -
Volleyball program done after one season!

You might also check with current LU kickers. They may be willing to workout with him. One of them blew up PNG in the first round a few years ago with five FGs and holds some state records. And make him watch video of Dan Bailey. Kid is the best in the business and makes it look effortless with icewater in his veins.

Horrible call on 4th and a foot. Horrible play call and horrible officiating call. 6'4" 245 lbs and lets hand off five yards deep!!!! That sealed the game.

At 34 years old with zero prior coaching experience. But he's a stats/numbers guy. Only number that matters is W's and L's.

Fitzpatrick. Thats funny

I dont ever recall Biggio getting talk of MVP when he was stealing 50 bags getting 200+ hits, hitting 20 bombs and driving in 80+. And his teams were good. Altuve doesnt hit the long ball like Biggio did. So frankly if he played for a contrnder he would play second, third or even fourth fiddle to someone on that team. A healthy Springer would overshadow Altuves game. "Chicks dig the longball!" - Greg Maddux

Seeing the pics it looks like he went overboard. Shame is he was probably just doing what he was taught as a youth. Think Richard Pryors grandmother telling him to go pick out a switch!

Yes after the foot injury, but go back and look in 2009 and 2010 and even parts of 2011 before the injury. He was at the top or in the top five in 20+ and 40+ yard passes. I contend that the foot injury really hurt his ability to drive the ball down field especially on the playaction roll out that Kubs offense revolved around. But back on Fitz...If they are going to utilize a game manager with little skill, I suspect soon we will see Mallett and Savage if Mallet doesn't flash. First three game slide the QB suffle begins. -

For those that say Fitz will get better as the season moves on I got 2,621 reasons why I disagree. This guy doesn't have the arm strength or accuracy to get the ball down field. Watched all preseason and game one and saw the same thing...an offense void of any passes more than 20 yards downfield. One thing Schaub had was a big arm. He made a living on the bootleg getting the ball down field to Dre before he hurt the foot. -

Fitz was bad. Missed alot of passes and threw several poor passes that where caught. But that defense is stout led by the baddest man in football!!! -
Good point. They signed him to a very very team friendly contract before the season; therefore they have team control for something like five more years, but another season like this one by Jose and I would expect the grumblings to start.

On pace to obliterate Biggios team record for hits in a season. And he's only 24 years old.

Jerry Jones Drafting Michael Sam
badndn replied to BigTicket409's topic in Professional Sports- NFL, NBA, MLB, Etc
For those that keep saying he is undersized for the position: Michael Sam 6'2" 261 Dwight Freeney 6'1" 265 Robert Mathis 6'2" 250 Elvis Dumervil 5'11" 251 -
Not surprised. Thought Houston made a mistake not taking Carr at the top of round 2. With Mallett in hand it may have worked out ok.
-
BINGO.

Mallett will be the starter by mid season. Wish they woulda had him throughout camp. He'd be the opening day starter if so. Big question: is he the franchise QB of the future? I think so.

Johnny Manziel Already
badndn replied to LocknLoad's topic in Professional Sports- NFL, NBA, MLB, Etc
Jerry is an old delusional man, much like the outta touch Al Davis was the last ten years of his life while he botched draft after draft and ruined that franchise. -
Yea, this one I don't get. For a franchise struggling to get W's and put butts in the seats, whats the holdup?
