    Neither is having a team solely consisting of “hard-working white kids” (not implying that’s what you’re arguing). Its a collection of factors that a number people have already mentioned: Coachable athletes, parental/administrative/community support, knowledgeable coaching staff, etc.

    I suppose there are 14 schools too many now with football programs. I don’t disagree with your stance on the experience. However, consolidating or annexing some smaller schools into larger districts isn’t an awful thing. To do so solely for football/athletics would be foolish, but could potentially be fiscally more responsible for some districts. Just a thought
