  1. Its funny how the fans determine if a game should be close or not. Sometimes teams match up and sometimes they don't. Just ask Rutgers or LSU.....they were supposed to have blowout wins and one had a blowout loss and the other won in overtime. Its hard to get wins now a days on any level.....Appreciate a win for what it is.......A WIN! I can assure you that the Tiger players and coaches knew this one would be a tough one!
  2. Come on now.....do a little research before you make statements like "average at best." Starters gave up 12 pts. Silsbee dominated this game and their is no reason for a DROP in ranking. Time will tell....it always does.
  3. Silsbee just dominated this game. Sterling scored some late touchdowns against the B team to make the score respectable. I'm not sure how many yards Silsbee had on the ground, but it was ALOT! I can't wait until the visit to the Reservation next Friday!
  4. Stang.....you sure put alot of stock in scrimmage performances. I think you will learn, they don't mean much in prognosing a teams season. They are very "non-game" like. A fumble is HUGE in a real game, but means nothing in a scrimmage...etc...etc.
  5. Boy....you would have thought Lumberton just won the district championship!! Its a scrimmage boys!!! But, I guess a win is a win in L-Town.
  6. It always takes Silsbee a few games to get their offense on track. I'm sure Coach McGallion is happy to have a 3rd scrimmage this year to work on things. They will be fine by district. Good luck to both teams!!!
  7. Non district schedule is a tough one!! If Silsbee gets through that stretch at 3 - 0....look out!
  8. I'm not sure if WO-S is the favorite in this game, but if they are.....I predict and upset loss to Dayton. I've been hearing some good things from some of their fans.
  9. I give respect to Kirbyville, but they just aren't of the same caliber as those other 4, mainly due to enrollment. They have had a nice run, but from what I hear, they have lost alot of talent. I would be shocked to see them finish in the top 3.
  10. This is shaping up to be one of the most exciting district races in quite some time. Honestly, there are 4 teams that have a realistic shot at winning this thing. Silsbee did catch a break by getting BC, Jasper, and WOS all at home. If Silsbee and WOS are sitting at 3-0 in district play, their game will be PACKED on Oct 20. I can't wait!
  11. WOS95.....Silsbee is returning several key starters from last year. They found a quarterback in the last game of the year last year that really ran their option very well. They have a HUGE O-line and have speed in the backfield. Silsbee has had two pretty good football teams the past two seasons but have run into a better team in round 1 both years...Palestine. I look for them to be a consistent challenger for that district in the years to come.
