I definitely expected a more competitive game & yes Anahuac definitely has better athletes than 38-0 In my opinion.

That we can agree on, OF looked bad that night, I think they are just starting to get comfortable with the seismic shift in offensive philosophy from the past decade.

Mason Manning was the most talented kid on the field last night if there is a huge talent disparity I guess I just didn’t see it. Good luck to you guys the rest of the way.

Well I’d say the Bobcats looked a lot more talented tonight, not taking anything away from Anahuac, but physically this was not a competitive game. Gotta give the Bobcats their flowers lol absolutely no one gave them a chance in this game.

After watching LCM scrimmage Orangefield tonight I’d say that might be the least disciplined team I’ve seen in a long time, they probably had 10 personal fouls called

It’s still early, i personally loved the Slot T, my biggest concern was protecting the QB & we actually did a decent job of that tonight. We looked way better vs LCM than I anticipated, so hopefully it will be a good year.

Still learning but moved the ball consistently vs LCM tonight

Liberty looked way better than Anahuac, definitely surprised me.

I don’t know what you’re talking about, the spread isn’t really a balanced offense, I’d be all about a pro style power I system, but that ain’t happening. Orangefield turned things around BIG TIME, when we went to the slot T, again, just look at the records in the 90’s & 2000’s lol only a handful of winning seasons. I obviously hope we win every game, but hating on the Slot T makes zero sense because we were relatively successful with it, & we literally have no clue if we have their personnel that can effectively run the spread.

I played with the best passer in OF history as far as stats go (not granger). But we passed out of a Pro Style, power I based formation

I still haven’t figured out why OF fans are in such a hurry to run the spread lol. There are lots of really bad teams running the spread, & we won a ton of games with the Slot T over really good programs. The Slot T fit our athletes well. Parents with very little football knowledge hate On the Slot T all the time, I’ve lived in OF for over 40 years, go look at some of the records we had before the Slot T, it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. I hope we go 10-0 next year but LCM hasn’t exactly been world beaters. I’m optimistic but I’m also realistic, and I feel the Slot T was very good for OF.
