  1. They must have grown after the Vidor game.  I was there and they were that big.  Livingston did have a couple of big boys, but the biggest one didnt even play until the 4th quarter when there was an injury.  He wasnt very good just big.

Corey Dickerson • 6-8 • 315 • OL • Livingston, Texas (Livingston HS) -  thats pretty big - signed with SFA

  2. Fished small local tourny on big Sam this Sunday.  Mid lake area - still no fish on beds in that area yet (maybe pushed off a bit after cold front).  Caught good fish (keepers to 4 1/2 lbs) in 3-4' heavy grass.  Also good numbers of smaller fish off secondary points.  Also got reports from south end of lake (Mill Creek area) not on beds yet.

  3. Most of you don't have a clue how hard it is to get any kind of football scholarship - D1 schools can only offer a total of 85 scholarships combined (Fr - Sr).  There are over 100,000 kids playing high school football in Texas alone, not to mention the rest of the US.  Getting to play anywhere at the next level is a tremendous honor.  Congrats Cody and good luck to you.

  4. Txstar - how did ya'll end up doing down south this year?  TVC - did you get to go back down to Maverick this year?  We ended up shooting some real nice deer - 149 (big 8), 151, 157, 158, 160, 164, and 167. One week left for bucks and we still got to knock out some more does!

  5. Gringo, that is a great deer...did he bust 160"?  I am headed to Maverick county tomorrow evening and the moon is good, the weather is getting cold and the bucks are about to move.

Thanks txstar - 158 BC, 6 1/2yrs, dressed 172lbs, Maverick county.  My buddy got a 167 4/8 (Cazadores scored).  I think it's still a little early for down there but they are starting to move pretty good - this weekend should be real good.  I'll be back down there on the 20th.

  6. This is the most ludacris thing I have ever seen, yes BH was underpar this year but were essentially two plays (one even officially ruled illegal by the UIL after reviewing the film, i.e. smiley) from being the number two team in the district, but to have a BH LINEMAN (line was atrocious) as the lone first teamer and having last years 1st team all state linebacker on second team?! hahaha if you watched a game you would know that EVERY PLAY he was double-teamed, YES a LB DOUBLE TEAMED EVERY SINGLE DOWN. Equally for Andrew little, unfathomable to be on second team . IMO those two are the only ones to deserve a 1 or 2 team spot. I know "to the victor...." and that crap, but seriously come on. I know this stuff means very little to us but to the kids it means at least something. And if I was Joe or Andrew I would feel SERIOUSLY DISRESPECTED by the district.

Ok I feel better now, but if you watched this district you know at least 3 things: BH offense = Little, no line, dropped passes, and Carmona trying his best; BH Defense = what defense, secondary burnt, d-line allowing 3 linemen to the 2 linebackers (Cannot do this in the 5-2, lbs need to be freed up) and for the lb's the frosh looked good, and Joe as one of BH"S best 3 (dolan, sprout) but simply could not approach what he did last year. AND finally GP was a one man show, seriously.

P.S. Please don't send me PM's about ripping the kids, I know them all and they know me, they know what went wrong and hopefully their youth will allow them to be better next year. Or progress 'till the 8th grade team gets there........... haha

"to the victor...."  - there is your answer !
