Not my point. If I had the choice of being the head coach at a smaller school like Lamar or being an assistant at a powerhouse like Kentucky, I'd take the assistant job at the powerhouse any day of the week.

If Roc's offered an assistant job at Kentucky, he'd be a fool to not take it.

Coachacola, the Wildcatters had ties to NHL teams for three of their four years. Their failures were that they 1) were clueless on how to market the sport in this area and 2) managed to piss off a lot of people.

I heard about this on PTI yesterday. I can't see a single good reason why Texas would do it. I could see the SEC, maybe, but neither of those...

I'll be the first to admit that I don't know anything about recruiting but Lamar's approach makes sense to me. I'd think that if you just loaded up on high schoolers you'd find yourself, in 4-5 years, needing to pick up a ton of kids through recruiting again whereas if you mixed in JUCO transfers you'd be able to even it out more.

According to an earlier post, a webcam is in the works.

I'd think it would be them. There's no good reason I can think of to change it.

Not yet, but they're working on it.  They don't have a $100 million athletic budget for nothing.  Besides, UT is in a BCS conference so what do you think the C in BCS stands for?

I didn't think the one loss Sunday would hurt them all that much. Baseball is a sport where you're going to lose some games, even to teams that are lesser than you. Just the nature of the game.
