I grew up in Elkhart and NEVER heard Slocum referred to as Elkhart-Slocum, even called some family there that work at the school and they have never heard of it being called that. ??? Oh well.........

It was a great game to watch and could have gone the other way quickly. Newton has the most athletic bb I have seen in a long time but at the same time they are the WORST shooters I have seen in a LOOOOONG time at Newton. I think the deciding factor in the game was Newton's quickness, Warren just didn't have an answer for it.

First of all it isn't Elkhart Slocum, two different schools and 2 different towns, would be like saying WH-Kountze. Don't over look Slocum, they only play basketball and baseball and usually good at both.

"and a whole new attitude" is KEY here. A school has to learn to win, Buna is heading in the right direction and will continue to get better. It wouldn't surprise me to see them as serious contender for the dist title next yr.

The real test will be if they can get past the first round, Newton and Corrigan are both going to be vastly improved from last yr.

Newton won't be to shabby next yr, finally got past our rebuilding yr and ready to make another run. I think we are returning 17-18 starters.

Creer is the real deal, one of the best high school rbs that I have ever seen. There are only 2 other that I MIGHT put ahead of him, J. Charles and Rodney Thomas.

Can't say that i'm surprised he is leaving, good luck Coach.

Darrel Jenkins QB\S played both sides of the ball and even had to run to the sideline after EVERY offensive play to get another. Not many kids can do that every week.
