    Week to week on the broadcast you will Adam and I talking about the improvements he has made in the passing game... Jones may not put up huge numbers on a consistent basis, but if he has to make a play, we have full faith that he can get it done... Credit the success of the Wildcats running attack in 2010 to the credibility the passing game has established... True, Ford frees up the receivers in the secondary, but if Jones didn't make plays, teams would crowd the box even more...

    As I read through everyone's thoughts about this game, I keep thinking to myself that both teams will be going all out... And I understand he theory behind "I don't know who to pull for", but the spirit of Reggie strikes me as being more competitive than that... I am looking forward to that Saturday night because I know that we will see two teams fighting for a victory more so than you may see all season long...

    I am glad that this game is on a Saturday night... I have never been to WO-S... I hope my first trip is one that sees that place packed beyond recognition... The Mustang family needs the place filled... Wherever it is you may live, make the trip down and honor the memory of a great young man and applaud the efforts of the Mustang family for getting back on the field...

    I'm not even sure that Newton fans should be THAT down on their team... They were playing their first game of the season with a new quarterback against a very good football team... By Week 10, Newton will be just fine....

    I was very impressed with a couple of players from Newton, including Jackson and Shorter to go along with Bennett...  When Holmes settles into the offense, the Eagles will be tough to stop...

    The more I think about this district the more intrigued I am...

    I would not be surprised if Diboll joins in on the postseason party, and Center, although usually overrated, does have a strong defense and lots of speed...

    I think Kirbyville takes the top spot, followed by Center, with Jasper and Diboll battling for the last spot... Huntington it appears is on the way to their 30th straight season with no playoff appearances...

    This kid had one of the best all-around games that I have seen last Saturday against Comfort....

    His performance on Saturday against Comfort may be what helps Kirbyville win against Pilot Point in San Marcos....

    Pilot Point has to now prepare and plan to stop Cucancic, which will help free up Ford and other guys like Rhodes or Ervine....

    Congratulations to this kid for the recognition he is receiving...

    EastexSports.com has talked to an East Texas high school about the possible use of their gym for a Playoff Preview Classic, similar to what was put on at UT Tyler last season.

    I know there are many coaches on this site and parents and players.  If there is any interest in participating, should your team make the postseason, if you could PM me on the site or email me at [email protected], it would be appreciated.

    I think the ideal limit would be 12 teams, and we would try as hard as we could to match you up with a caliber of team you are interested in playing.

    I know that we are a long way from the playoffs, but something like this will take some planning.  Thanks for helping make the site what it is, and we look forward to seeing you on EastexSports.com!
