I will be interested in seeing how or if the UIl addresses is. Like I said before this hit was unnecessary and in now way do I condone the hit. However, it is foorball aand it did happen during the play. It wasn't a punch it was a football hit. If it had happened after the play I would understand them stepping in. But this warranted a penalty and maybe an ejection but not sure of any other punishment other than by the school.
Although I don't agree with or condone the hit, this in my opinion shouldn't be a UIL matter other than maybe why the official didn't throw a flag. Even though the hit was unnecessary it was still during the play. It wasn't anything outside the realm of football, i.e. Wasn't a punch, after the whistle etc.
No here is one of the things that creates troubles between teams today. This is in know way part of WOS business, they have no part in it. Should they note that it happened, maybe so. But to make statements that a player better put his head on a swivel because your players saw that hit, they have no concern over that hit. If it were to happen in the WOS game then yes they have a concern.
Ok I understand better now. I am still not sure why the flag wasn't thrown myself even with that viewpoint. I have seen flags for unnecessary roughness called for less.
You are out on a limb here no a twig. I know the situation, but that qb was standing still well behind the rb As the play was ending, no way he is a blocker there.
From this I don't really even see helmet to helmet, they may have hit but the blow was really led by the shoulder. There was a bit of taunting but that little was before you knew he was hurt. I have to agree that I have seen a lot worse.
There is some question to that, it definitely wasn't of the same type as this one. But definitely might have been a helmet to helmet or similar call. But, and I didn't see it myself, the taunting part would definitely be reason for a call.
This one at least was nothing more than him stepping out of bounds but spinning back into the field and keeping going. All happened fast was nothing cheap about it.
He may not have the speed or moves of the past qbs but he did show good decision making in the zone read to go along with good strong running. I have to say I was a little surprised Adonis had 100+ yards, mainly because of how good Jasper did limiting him to short yardage on many of his runs.
I know there is penalties for head to head but not sure of targeting so to speak. Was wondering how or what the diagnosis was for our injured receiver.
I have to ask. Jasper punted several times. All were short out of bounds punts. Was that just to keep the ball out of Barnes' hands or was that the norm last week as well?
