With the smaller schools cancelling games and moving schedules around, I sure hate to see what happens when the 5A/6A get cranked up. More students, teachers, players and faculty in these bigger schools, wonder how many cancelled games we have in just week 1?

In your research, did you see where there is NOT a cure or a vaccine for the virus? Don't live in fear but you better respect this virus. We will be reading your story on FB talking about how you wish you would have taken the necessary precautions to try and prevent catching this virus. I hope as a teacher you lead by example and practice social distancing, sanitize and wear your mask..........ESPECIALLY if they allow kids to return to school here in the next few weeks.

Sounds great! Please elaborate on how a 2 week lock down will exceed the damage of the virus? We are setting daily records with COVID cases and deaths. I totally get............let me govern themselves. The problem is PEOPLE are not! Instead of wearing s simple mask and practicing social distancing, we have IDIOTS fighting when asked to back the hell up or NO MASK NO SERVICE. Then folk dont wanna wear their mask, call the police, and they cant even enforce it. Lord and if they do, there is 15 stupid a$% cell phone cameras taping every move. So over it!

As much as I hate it, I am in agreement with you. I just dont see any way HS football takes place this fall. I dont even see NFL and COLLEGE football making a full season.

This is happening at all levels. Stanford will discontinue 11 of their varsity sports due to the pandemic. There will be more HS and Colleges doing the same thing.

I am a Maintenance Supervisor for a plant on the channel. We require face protection at all times unless sitting at your desk alone. When the techs are outside working 8 hours a day in the heat, the biggest complaint they have is NOT being able to breathe. We have had incidents where techs have shortness of breath, headaches and dizzy due to breathing exhaled carbon dioxide. Now these guys are working hard in the heat and exert themselves somewhat. I have a difficult time thinking players and officials will be able to run up and down the field for 3 hours and not experience some of the same symptoms if not greater than these techs! I can NOT believe its going to be August in 20 plus days!

Wife and i were actually discussing lawsuits taking place if HS football were to take place. There is ALWAYS a loop hole and someone will find a way to make $$ if Lil Joey catches this virus. So sick and tired of the NEW NORM! Masks, clean this, dont touch your face, dont flush the toilets in public cuz the spray can get on you, sanitize your hands, dont cough, sneeze or fart cuz you might infect someone. One day masks are good, one day they aint. UGHHHHHHHHHHHH top of my lungs!

Officials/Coaching draft pushed back til the end of July.

Wish they could give this thing a month to see if the virus dies down and then try and start back up. Push the season back and lets roll with district games. Heck I dunno what they need to do.
