Newton is good. They have been to back to back championships a lot of those kids have been practicing for 16 weeks unlike our 11. Just because they were not starting doesn’t mean they didn’t get experience.

If we're talking Woodville vs LCM, then don't worry because Woodville is nothing like Newton and neither are their athletes. Newton athletes are something different compared to other teams around here, but now if ya'll were playing WOS then I'd be concerned because those athletes.... those athletes are something serious like the ones from Newton, but as far as it goes with Woodville I wouldn't worry about that scrimmage with Newton last week.

Yoe and gladewater should be top 5 for sure... Ec is good at #10 imo

I respect that they're not a top five team, but I do see them being somewhere along the bottom half. My personal top five are Grandview, Malakoff, Gladewater, Brock, Atlanta.

  3. Here is my personal pre-season rankings/

EC walks past woodville and everyone else in the district for first place.

Woodville scrapes by Anahuac for second place. after powerful RB Martin & most linemen graduate.

Anahuac finesses their way past Buna after returning many starters and new coaching staff.

Buna easily defeats Hardin and makes it into the playoffs once again with great coaching and great discipline.

    The rest are:

    Hardin

    orange-field

    Kirbyville

    Warren

Lol.  Seriously? May or may not work with his brother at a school that rhymes with Casper.  Go to the first page of this thread and read through the comments.

The man I am talking about has nothing to do with "Casper" ISD

It's a mistake in my opinion.. if that's the route they go.  I have it on very good authority that recent success as a head coach (that everyone's talking about) was due solely to the fact of a crap ton of talent.  Loaded in fact.  Other than just a stupid amount of size/speed/strength things were sort of a free-for-all.  Don't shoot the messenger... that's what I heard.  If even a fraction of that is true then Anahuac will have made a wrong decision.  Can't make decisions based on popularity.. or a last name.

Absolutely not, whoever told you this has a sour taste in their mouth about something. Great coach even better man.

have heard the front runner has recently been to the biggest stage as a coordinator

Would love to see him get it, I want to see the panthers compete again in the next couple years and I feel he is the man for the job.

Well... what did you hear? Someone other than Barbay or the Dickenson coordinator?  That's not going to turn any heads because that's what most people are already hearing.

Yes, heard it was someone other than those two and heard he was the actual front runner, but I will not be posting any names. Sorry just out of respect.

Hearing Riordon may be headed to Chapel Hill, according to Smoaky posters

This is not true that whole forum on Smoaky was created by a CH poster who hopes that their guy gets the boot, somehow it keeps getting brought back up, the job is not open in CH.
