This is why pro football teams measure your intelligence in camp now, not your tackles.  They want to know if you are smart enough to learn what they teach

You can be all district in high school but not good enough for D1 ;)

Unless you lived through his era..i don't think you would realize just HOW dominate Earl was. If anyone could have gone from HS to pros he would have been the one. Quiet and unassuming and physically he was a beast.

I agree dragon........I am not saying he could not have, I just think any high school kids body is not ready for that kind of beating. High School to college is a huge jump.......the pros is a plane ride

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but how exactly did they start the season off so poorly when they tied for the state championship?
Was looking at this youtube clip and they look like they have a college defense nearly the way they are flying to the ball.

Coach Stump ran a good program, but I'm a big fan of the assistants...those are the guys that make ur program...

Coach stump doubled as a QB coach too.

I can't even be mad at the refs. ANY team as well as Ozen knows that to beat Livingston at home, you have to have at least a marginal lead to walk out with a victory.

Yes. This is not what we have come to expect from our teams. As I said before, we dont unrealistically expect to be in the state championship game every year. But, what we do expect is to at least compete. Thus far, we have been outscored 153-188, in starting the season 2-4. That is totally unacceptable. We expect better than this from our WB teams.

I think Stump was an adequate coach what do conxider bs from Stump

I agree that Stump was a pretty good coach, in his first few years at Brook. But, if you read any of my posts from last season, you should know why. As I said, favorites were being played, and those favorites did not give WB the best chance to win. That is all I will elaborate on this subject.Well according to who you consider favorites...

I agree with you on that, 5 gallon buckets.  The problem with the feeder school issue in Beaumont is because of open enrollment in BISD, you can't really earmark junior high kids to flow to the closer high school anymore.  This is why it seems like the JH programs are just doing their own thing. Its a tough situation to be in, but its the reality.
Very true.  I've just seen the ML King Middle School basketball team.  This team is loaded as they have several 6'3" -6'4" kids playing against other middle school  teams that have normal looking Middle school kids.  Back in the day, you would know that all of these kids are automatically going to Central since King should/used to be a feeder to Central.  Now, you don't know if Ozen will gather some of this talent.
no coaches to lead the talent..
