1. With two outs in the top of the 7th and the score tied 4 - 4, Will Henderson blasts a 3 run homer to straight away CF to lead West Brook to 7 - 4 victory over Baytown Lee! It was Henderson's second HR of the game! He also threw a runner out at home with a perfect strike from RF !

West Brook improves to 5 - 4 in district, Lee drops to 6 - 3.

Randall White picks up the W in relief of starter Preston Warner. Warner had another good outing, only giving up 2 ER in 5 1/3 IP.

Matt Kramlick had a Double and a Sacrifice Fly. Connor McDonald and Cody Woodward added two hits each.
2. WB 2 - Cv 1

Sophomore Preston Warner goes the distance in a pitching duel with C. Cormier from Channelview.

Through 7 innings each had given up only 3 hits. In the top of the 8th, Warner shuts down Cv 1-2-3. The reliever from Cv gives up an infield single to Will Henderson , Cody Woodward bunts him over to 2nd then pinch hitter Charles Walker drives in Henderson with a shot up the middle. Henderson makes an awesome slide into home to win the game !!!

Warner allowed 6 base ruuners in 8 innings : 3 hits , 2 BB , 1 reach by error. He struck out 11 batters. He should be considered as one of the best pitchers in the area. He is a 16 y/o sophomore dominating 5A teams.

West Brook wins 13 to 8 !

After falling behind early, the Bruins battled back with their bats and 6 innings of strong relief from senior pitcher Randall White.

Cody Woodward and Darrien James had HR's.

This evens WB to 3 - 3 in district play.

Who started for Brook?
Freshman Guillory started - he looked great in his start v. Sterling, but could not retire a batter v. Channelview.
4. Sophomore Preston Warner battled for 129 pitches over 6 1/3 innings.

Going into the top of the 7th, WB led 6 - 5. At that point, all 5 Mustang runs were unearned. West Brook had, uncharacteristiacally, made 4 errors. Plus there were a few plays that could have saved the game that were just not made.

In the top of the 8th, reliever Reggie Wilson gave up a bomb to the leadoff hitter, then retired the next three batters. The Bruins did not answer in the bottom of the 8th.

Wilson tripled and Warner doubled  (nearly 400 ft shot to dead center) to drive in all the runs for the Bruins.

West Book is 2-3 in district, trailing leaders Channelview and North Shore at 4 - 1. WB has a home and home with Channelview this week.

5. Freshman Charles Guillory pitches into the 7th inning then gets 1-2-3 relief from Randall White.

The Bruin bats were hot again with Triples b Darrien "Boom" James, Justin Harmon and Charles Guillory. Doubles by Matt Kramlick, Connor McDonald and Reggie Wilson.

The Bruins are 11-8-1 on the season and 2 - 2 in district.

West Brook hosts district leading North Shore this Friday with #1 and #2 starters Preston Warner and Reggie Wilson on full rest.
