1. I am unsure what Beaumont Central or any other school in Beaumont has to do w/ The Game in Baytown...it has been at least 10 years since Central was in the same district as either Sterling or Lee....Westbrook may care to take a peak to see if Sterling decided to wake up from their ridicously long slumber, but I seriously doubt they care that much either (and who would blame them?).... Sadly, The Game in Baytown has all but lost its' luster...it used to be a huge deal (at least around Baytown)...maybe if they did shut down Lee then Sterling and GCM could start something...still waiting on them to play each other, i think it is weird that they havent...

I'll be pulling for RSS...two things though: First, is it a losing streak? I thought Sterling won 2 years ago and lost last year, but could be mistaken. Second, do away with REL??? Is GCCISD even considering that? If they have then that is the first I have heard of it.
It is just something I have been hearing. Many rumors but I have said on here that I think Lee will be gone within 5 - 10 years and there will be a 2 school system again Just my opinion tho
oh ok...interesting thought...seems like there is too much history at REL for them to do away with it completely....i would be shocked if that happened, but who knows with the way things are going...at one point when i was in school they were about to merge Sterling and Lee then a couple years later they decided to just make a 3rd school...they seem to have wide swings on what they plan to do...
 4. I really enjoyed watching Henry play basketball up at Baylor... He could flat out jump out of the gym.

 6. The stallworth pic is definitely not GCM vs BH...the press box is still a single deck...GCM started as a school after they added the 2nd deck...if i would have to guess it may be a picture from the texas bowl as the visitor side is where they put texas and i remember those red jerseys one year...home side would be louisiana which explains the white uniforms and lower turnout....
 7. dunno how much money gccisd gets off of games but you'd figure there would be monetary reasons to keep the lee/sterling game...there are by far more people at that game than any other for each team the past several years...you get rid of that game you'd figure they would lose some money...barber's hill may travel to watch them play sterling with no prob but the sterling folks won't care and no one outside of the players families and band/cheerleaders families and a few students will show...sterling/lee is another story, people come watch that just for the heck of it...obviously that is a result of the product on the field and if sterling was good more would come regardless of the opponent but still, even when either sterling or lee are good its hard to top the attendance numbers for either team for any game minus playoffs compared to the sterling/lee game... that said, i figured they wouldve started sterling and gcm playing a couple years ago to get some money and interest going in that game and they havent...so who knows what they are thinking in the administration office...
because the earlier update said 28-21 meaning splendora wouldve had to have lost points for her to be right...looks like we got a final now anyway...

 10.
Didn't Sterling run a "spread" Shotgun offense last year??? What was their record?
Yes but their prob last year was no defense....the offense could score but they allowed like 40 points a game....looks like the new coach has switched the problem around...hopefully he gets the offense fixed
 11. maybe sterling is starting to get over the learning curve of running their new offense...it is a hard and different offense for any defense to stop....at least im hoping that is what it is, cause up til now it has been pretty ugly for them...

Coach Stewart pulled that on us when he was the head coach. Don Price wrote the book on crap like that and no class when he was at BH. Ok thouh bc getting it handed back to him at HF.  8)
guess im too far removed to know the story (though i do remember BH doing that back in the day)...just seemed odd since they were only up 2 scores at the time...i wouldn't have made that call if i was the coach, but maybe thats why im sitting at home on a friday  night...
Same here but it is what it is. Take care.
u too...have a good weekend and go texans!

HOWEVER Dreski and the other clown Dodi J need to be committed. Anyway GO BEARS bc they are lethal this year and hope they beat Texas. Travel safe.
thanks...i grew up in liberty (til 8th grade) and still have family there...i went to baytown sterling for high school though and baylor for college so i think i have been humbled enough that im not quick as cocky as some of these guys...
Sahen its just a game and fun who cares bc for the kids and old guys to talk smack.
yup...looks like the Liberty guys won't have much smack to talk this week, Huffman just got a first down so they can eat up some more clock and Liberty will start using timeout...that said the Panthers are getting better so it will be fun to see what they can do the rest of the year and in the next couple years...
 17. Huffman ball after the onside kick...i think Liberty still has 3 timeouts left
 18. 34-20......2:55 to go...Liberty scored a TD on a 4th and long...Huffman roughed the kicker on the extra point so Liberty will get to try the onside kick 15 yards down field

 23. 28-13....6:55 left Huffman ball after Liberty failed an onside kick
 24. 7-7 with 11:53 left in the 2nd quarter...you can listen on www.kshn.com i'm watching a movie and just checked up on the game there, wont be able to post consistant updates
 25. honestly, i think the lack of execution on offense really stems from the fact that they don't have a quarterback that knows how to run the offense correctly...this offense is supposed to be an equalizer for teams that have a smaller offensive line and less talent...it is a misdirection type thing, actually similar to the spread but you hand it off and toss instead of throw the ball...but the QBs had no experience in it prior to this year and its killing them, they either make a bad read or time after time after time hold the ball too long and wait too long to make a decision (which means they get clobbered and fumble because the o-line is up the field making blocks on the secondary like they are supposed to)...the good thing is the 2 new QBs they are using are sophomores (or so i over heard at the stadium) so they should learn, but the bad thing is that will take plenty of time for them to do... one thing though, the one quarterback that is tiny (probably 5'5" 140 lbs or something like that) needs to be in JV, but not because of play but because of size...im honestly afraid for that kid when we get in district...it is just going to take one play where they hold the ball too long and a monster DT is going to crush him....i guess we don't have anyone else to put out there and the kid has shown some good instincts on some plays, but i think they need to let the kid grow a little more and put him back there next year... anyway, just my opinion from one of the rare RSS alums that goes and watches their games with no other attachment to RSS other than i graduated there...
