  1. Yeah, so fast he pulled up and let two grounders go right between his legs against WOS! Come on...
  2. Why are my posts getting deleted? If it were lies I were telling, I could understand. We are 0-4. And no change has been made. Something is not working. And as for the player with the bad attitude, he has thrown a helmet in the last two games, and a bat against Jasper, but is not disciplined. All the players use this helmet for protection, and anyone who throws it takes the chance of damaging the helmet for the next player to wear. If we would get away from style and get back to the BASICS, we could compete. Changes will have to be made to be successful!
  3. Critter.....As a matter of fact, the team I was for, won all their games. But it wasn't from the homeruns. It was the number of solid hits , that produced the runs that led to the victories. And with a name like Critter, are you sure you have that many teeth in your mouth?
  4. Utguy, I apologize. I misstated my intended thoughts. I should have said "some" coaches. You are exactly right. I have seen all three "TEAMS" play this year, and it makes a difference. They will be at the top of their districts.
  5. What are the TEAM batting averages? Bet no one has this info....Or if they do, who really wants to look at them.....
  6. Doesn't matter who's on the mound. Pitchers aren't getting much help. HF errors are killing us. How many errors are allowed before a change is made?
  7. It's all about the style. The coaches want someone to look good. Fundamentals, why? As long as you look good screwing up. And a lot of parents are as much at fault as the coaches. They sit in the stands, keeping their own books, and making their videos to send to colleges for scholarships. Their stats are as accurate as their thinking that their precious one is going to end up in the big leagues one day. All of this is led to the "I" state of mind in all high school athletic programs. Teams are a thing of the past. Their is no teamwork, and this is the coaches fault for not teaching that mentality. There are so many threads asking who is best at this or that, it is a joke. That one players not going to win a game by him or herself. O.K, maybe in golf or tennis, but no team sports. I think the coaches need to worry less about style points, and TEACH defense. To the parents, if your child is that good, they will get noticed, but there are also a whole bunch of other "good" players in the state and country. I have seen some very good players end up with no scholarships, or limited scholarships.
  8. You are right BleedOrange: Unless you are one of the coaches son, his best friend, or whatever. Having heart, practicing everyday, playing with injuries, etc. etc. etc., or forgive me, using stats, has no bearing on these picks whatsoever.
