Liberty has a pretty good team & as I posted very early this yr they would win every game then lose by [email protected] yr=49-0 WOS,me & some of my friends that follow the games incl all the way to Arlington/Reliant(6 straight & suites reserved for 2016 games) will be making the trip to watch this game.I won't get into a tit for tat conversation about the game but I have witnessed how well a team can play(2014 state finalist w/1 returning O/D player qb JD,led Gilmer to real late in the game) and a complete mauling of a great Celina team@Reliant 2015 to win state rather easily & now return the house to clean house for a very, very 3 peat state title appearance & my bet is back to back titles.I'm just hoping for a good dry cold front & a good cup of coffee & no mosquitos & no serious injuries heading towards the ever so close high school playoffs.Smh I prolly bring along some aspirin for my head just from watching

(1)9 team district and we've been near the bottom in defense several yrs (2)we have not had (1)1st team all-dist Qb since 2011 A Herrera=we've not been developing Qb's@varsity level. At the underclass levels we've previously had atheletic qb's that for some reason didn't get much of a chance @varsity.Examples (2)K McBride & S Long(Stewart groomed to be varsity qb's.(3) this staff had a monumental job from day 1 to get the kids back on board that either had quit or would not come out for fb (4)we were left w/o a Qb who had some varsity exp@ that position & it shows=platooning to try & find some consistency.(5)that hasn't worked out either we won't have a 1st team all-dist Qb this year(6)we've been able to kick enuff fg's over several yrs to get a playoff spot(win a cpl of playoff games),sometime w/a little help(like King 2013 last win to garner the #4 spot(we'd lost 4 dist games). These things are NOT NEW if you've been attending games,Stewart was an expert@developing talent & making the right choices as the Head Coach.Even though he didn't always have alot of kids that could play D1 fb@next level. What he did have was alot of great high school fb players that would fight for him=now he has retired & Nations knows this. We've talked and I promise he gives JS plenty of props/respect.So I say it's been a great ride,1 that darn few have been able to accomplish.I'm proud of those,it was alot of fun watching/following.So I say this as honest as I can=give it a little time,re-structuring takes some time & the kids must respect their staff & their decisions to show up for practice every day unless they are ill.In respect to the other teams that have beaten the Broncos=congrats you've worked hard over several yrs of taking your share of losses vs Broncos but we don't take it lightly. If it were like it was for many yrs=only the dist champ/runner up made the playoffs we'd been bouncing basketballs a long time ago.Now go beat Crosby@their house Broncos

Welp 1 road win & 1 road loss in dist, I give us a 50% chance in CrosbyWould I bet on it=No.But past match-ups Dayt has came to play in these games.

MISERY smh it seems like we can only play 1 half of football=34 points allowed 2nd half.Bright spot was Styner finally ballin & some nice td passes.Weak spot smh it's week #7 and we're still getting killed by the safety.Bronco kicker missed key x/pts/fg again & our special teams play has lost it's way of running back punts(let it roll)& kickoff returns has been NADA on the year

Well Dayton fans, I know the last thing y'all figured would happen after you ran Hancock out of town was that your 20+ year playoff streak would be on the line in week 7 but realistically that's exactly the case tonight. Just because everyone likes and wants to play for a coach doesn't always mean he's the best option when so many other qualified candidates applied. Everyone may not have liked Hancock but I bet the kids that were left playing for him really wanted to play football, not just be part of something with their friends or play for their dad's buddy.
I think you can see what the right hires have done at Crosby, BH, Porter and New Caney. I think you have seen what can happen when you make the wrong one at a place like Kingwood Park. That being said, the Broncos still have a glimmer of hope if they can win this one but as the season has showed thus far, they just don't have the coaching to maximize their talent level anymore. For kids that are used to winning most of their games I think it's tough on their psyche coming off back to back blowouts and losing three of the last four in district play which has probably never happened to them at any level since they've been playing football.
Hopefully Dayton gets it figured out for the rivalry's sake but after watching Jim Holley tonight Bronco fans might be even more disappointed.
I'll sum it up w/12 letters=No Discipline, not new stuff.Been several yrs of it

JS I heard that Porter now has approx 2500 students,& New Caney 2300.Anybody confirm? Also heard w/growth out in the Plum Grove area/Cleveland ISD per 99.9 fm radio=up 531 new students.Rumor says Cleveland growing so fast they're short teachers & some said next alignment there is a slight possibility Cleveland could jump from 4a to 6a w/o playing 5a sports.Huffman is growing as well.21-5a may very well undergo many changes

Well, it is someones responsibility to conduct home visits to verify residence. Especially on a "move in".
You have a coaching staff that can help.
We have to sometimes conduct home visits for missing practice

My point was don't throw rocks when your team has been in the same situation. I am not trying to rationalize what happened at Nederland, he was wrong and they paid the price. And we don't know when the waiver was applied for, it could have been after all of this came to light after which it was denied. Either way, luckily it only cost Nederland one game instead of several although it still might cost them a playoff trip. Believe me, I think Neumann has learned his lesson on paperwork.
Could have been 2 losses, but Dayt won by 1 point, the kid played in that gm also

I missed the Dayton game so I don't know if we tried one there, other than that I can only think of the one against Tomball Memorial that we caught in the air but the ref said it did not go 10 yards.
Yes sir they tried one
