Uh oh i hit a nerve, we’ll you don’t ever get on here and say that to your fellow ant mound friends who constantly talk trash about us Daytonians, so if you can’t run with the big dogs, stay on the porch.

OK then, keep taking the low road!!

Nederland's defense is good but I think BH has a bit too much on the offensive end. BH’s defense has some shaky aspects to it but Nederland’s offense looks to be pretty mediocre. Only averaging 23 offenseive points per game and around 300 total yards per contest.

BH really doesn’t have a home field advantage playing in Eagle Stadium but it’s bwtter than being on the road so I like BH by 3-7 points.

Why do you say that BH doesn't have a home field advantage when playing at home?

You have to look at the big picture.

Yes they lost some key components to last years team. But, they played a number of Sophomores on Varsity at some important positions. Not only did these young players get some valuable experience, they also allowed some other players to get experience at the Junior Varsity level. Now this may have not translated to victories at the JV level, but it did allow a number of kids to grow and get better. Crosby will be real good next year.

I watched the big picture. Hand the ball to squirl or throw it to Cedrick Patterson and hope the defense can hold the opponent to less than 100 points.

Based on recent success, returning talent, tradition and coaching I see it like this:

    1. Crosby

    2/3. Nederland/Barbers Hill

    4. PNG/Dayton/Vidor/Santa Fe

    8. Lee

I think that everyone is giving Crosby a little too much credit this year. They lost a lot of talent from last year's team and the JV didn't fair too well last year. Don't be surprised if Crosby is not the team they have been the last few years.

I get your point, but something needs to be done. These awards have become a joke. My son told me a baseball kid made it last year that only played in 2 games....

    District 21-5A has 18 kids on 1st team & 20 kids on 2nd team. I think that's fair for a district with 9 teams. I don't think that's watered down.

These stats are what this site has posted and pinned at the top titled "Individual offensive statistics".

If those stats are accurate, then i would have to lean jaiden. That sure seems low on passing yards for Cooper. Didn't realize Jaiden only has 3 picks. Impressive. Do you have stats on BH QB holland?

I don't think Westerberg reports any individual stats.

Technically, there's no rule against having a superschool.  If the school district has the means, the resources, , the facilities, and the money to operate a school like that, then why not?  Academics seem to be thriving there.  That would be the thing to hold them back.  I guess whatever works best for them.  Besides, it's probably best from an operating standpoint to operate less schools in your district than more from just a superintendent standpoint..

Areas like Katy & Pearland could easily support a superschool also. They have all of the recourses, money, facilies, etc... It just seems to me that from a athletic standpoint, the UIL would want a more even playing field.

Can anyone tell me why Allen ISD is allowed to have almost 6,500 students. Why hasn't there been another high school built in that area so their enrollment numbers can drop down to somewhere near the high schools that are in their district. They seem to have an unfair advantage with those kind of numbers.

I know this is a forum for SETX sports. But I was just curious.

I wasnt going to bring this up, but since you did. Last night the PN-G fans sitting near me starting cheering for the Ozen players when they made a good play. I looked at them with a funny look and they said that those kids deserve to be recognized too. Towards the end of the game there was a pretty good cheering section for Ozen when they would make a play.

PNG fans have all of my respect. They show awesome support for their own players and their competition as well. They are a class act.
