The best defense we had was the year Lloyd Ligons (sp) got hurt and couldn't play QB.  That was the year of just needing a QB.

High ankle sprain and will be out until Austin-LBJ.  Expect a full recovery from him.

The kid from Kingwood Park has a massive leg and is pretty accurate in warm-ups.  Didn't get to see him much in the actual game but I'd put him up there with anyone.  Trying to figure out why he's not 11 for 11 on touchbacks.  He put every kickoff through the goalposts when I saw him.

Dayton should win this game fairly handily but I wouldn't say we're gonna hang 50 on them.  Probably 42-14 or so.  Our defense seems to be letting down after we get a lead and hopefully that'll stop.

Although there's a lot of smack talk on this site (myself in particular supporting the Broncos), I'm pretty sure that everyone here supports all the SETX teams in this area once the playoffs start.  Yea, there are rivlaries and all of that and I love cheering for a winner like everyone else but the bottom line is that most everyone on this site supports their team and the rest of the teams this board covers.  I don't see too many 5a or 3a games and nothing under 3a but I do support all the local teams and have felt the support of the other local teams during the playoffs.  That is once 19 and 20 4a have finished playing each other that is.

Dayton could have scored 100 points in this game.  28-0 with 5 minutes to go in the first and start calling off the dogs.  GP is terrible.

Granted he seems like an old vet now (and he's only a sophomore) but I really like that kid.  He really makes an impact as a blocker when he doesn't get the ball and plays hard on every play.  He flat ran over those Friendswood linebackers on a couple of blocks and that pair (33 and 32) were probably the two best linebackers Dayton has played.  He's going to have a breakout game sometime and then lookout.

I'd be surprised if GP gets over 200 yards....Jakari looks like he should've been playing linebacker all along.  Hopefully he stops fumbling the ball and we'll get to see what kind of talent he has because he absolutely looks like he's a stud when he gets the ball.  He reminds me of Lamar Mitchell.

OMG - Dare I say this but PN-G has been the best defense up to this point......

It's getting close....I'm ready to see all the new wrinkles and possibilities.  Ploch possibly at receiver and playing some defense...maybe some razzle dazzle who knows??  Gonna turn the lights out at Galena Park this week I believe.

Apparently you don't pay much attention; forever teaches in Dayton but graduated from PN-G and is pretty much a PN-G Homer.

Welcome to the real world. Everyone is scrutinized and second guessed regardless of the job. Yes it's magnified in a 48 minute game but that's the beauty of athletics in general....they prepare you for life. I don't condone any parent coming out of the stands but regardless if they lend their moral support they have already lended their financial support by buying the ticket. Unfortunately, the world is not perfect and there are idiots everywhere.

Ploch is a huge weapon either in the backfield or at receiver. I'm pretty sure he'd be a huge presence on defense as well. It's a problem worth having.
