Sorry to the PNG faithful but part of the reason that many of you are so impressed this year, besides the record, is you've been watching pre-historic football schemes for far too long.  Shows what a fresh look at offensive and defensive schemes can do for a program that has talent to build with.  Although personally I would play my best 11 in high school, to each his own with playing both ways.  You've got a chance in the playoffs....but posters think with your heads and not your hearts....5 pages on an OBVIOUS dig thread???  Ranger you've outdone yourself this time :).

I just realized I haven't smited Ranger in a good 3 days....what's wrong w/ me??  Can I somehow smite this entire thread.  I'm rooting for a five way tie for 3rd in 20-4A that results in Livingston/Lumberton in the playoffs so we won't need to see BH - PNG again!!

20 something pages and counting on a "possible;" ok probable game that is two weeks off.....who even needs a prediction thread.  Its almost like the playoffs have already started yet I have no idea who Dayton will be playing in 2 weeks with all the playoff chaos over there in 20.

Galena Park's stadium is awesome but they also have a crowned turf field.  Most of the turf fields now seem to slope toward the endzone instead of the sidelines except for that one.  Of the ones I've seen anyway.

What has REALLY impressed me from watching Cody as a sophomore until now is that he gets better every game.  It looks like he takes coaching very well and he's not relying constantly on his substantial natural ability.  The kids has poise and I look forward to watching him grown and develop with the Nebraska program.

Runs high, dances a lot in the holes with some pretty decent moves.  Has good vision to find the backside whole.  Makes good cuts and waits for the play to develop.  Pretty big and hard to tackle although doesn't look very fast.  Not sure of the team they're playing...don't know if the missed tackles are bad tackling or if they are because of the back since you don't get to see the whole game here.

[/quote] Hey, I like everybody -- especially people like the hammer who clearly don't know any better.  He so wants to be liked!   ;D   Having said that, I don't for a minute believe that the hammer has actually watched any game tapes, much less that he has "a local 4A coach from the area" who watches tapes with him.  That's a good one!  Almost as good as saying that PNG has a better defense (or anything for that matter) than Friendswood!  But it shows he's learning -- wanting to add a patina of credibility to his mindless blathering in support of PNG and its "reservation magic."  I love it!!!!   :D :D :D       [/quote] FW has a stout defense with two of the best linebackers you will see in HS this year.  They do not have a ton of speed in the secondary but they are always in good position.  Their defense is comparable to the best defenses in 20 4A.

Dayton has a very good chance to win this game.  We need to focus on cutting down the fumbles for the playoffs.  We recovered most of them against King but I'd hate to see us fumble away another game this year.
