1. Boy this is a game!!  Thanks for the webcast site.
 2. 27-21 Humble takes over on downs....air up the basketballs at Central.
 3.
WOW Dawson is rolling :o
You're surprised....24-4A all had bye's this week against HISD schools?  I saw the one guy from DCTF actually picked Yates to win the state championship....you just completely throw that guy's bracket in the trash.

Not based on this game, but because Dexter Foreman is a beast.
Probably not a bad pick...they've got the talent.  Foreman may be a best but Brennan Doty is a better QB.  Both Manvel's qbs have the ability to keep the play alive that Doty doesn't have and they look to run as the last option on the scramble.  Looks at the first option and waits on him to come open then steps up.  Doesn't get to second option until starting to scramble and took 2 sacks when the backside receivers were open.  Their throws were somewhat erratic at times but the wr's were so open that it didn't matter.
if PN-G met up with them do you think PN-G can beat them?
Oh without a doubt.  If it takes place then I say it'll be a great game.  PNG would have trouble with the athletes at the skill positions but would have quite an advantage up front on the offensive line.  It would be one of those games that comes down to turnovers and execution.  If you're looking for a point of reference then I'd say WOS with not as quite a good of a defense.
 5.
Much appreciated, rollinac!
You're welcome.  Although you've got a game to win tomorrow I figured y'all would be interested and the game was taking place about 4 miles from me.  Would have liked to see them against a better team and I will say that I felt sorry for those kids from Washington.  250 ppl in the stands....probably 25 players on the team...just outclassed.  Enrollment was 946 so small even for 4A...

 7.
does manvil have a good defense...give me some scouting reports please :)
Offense - 4 WR no huddle (3 wr 2 RB in the red zone).  Fast paced.  4 wr's are all small and really fast.  #5 rb is small and fast and the other one is taller and a little bigger physical back type.  They rotate QB's every series #7 starts and #8 comes in behind him.  Both are tall and athletic...7 is shorter but heavier 6'1" 215 I'd guess and 8 is 6'4" 195 ish.  I didn't notice one being any better than the other at really anything.  Both throw the ball well and both are quick on the inside.  They liked throwing the deep ball especially the post corner from the outside wr in the spread.  Inside guys ran underneath routes mostly.  It's tough to say if they do this all the time because Washington was playing a 4-3 straight man on the 4 wr with no safety.  The 3 LB's were spying the QB and RB (yes all 3).  There was little pass rush and both QB moved well in the pocket so why not throw the bomb every play.  The wr got behind the cb's just about every time and were on the money on all except 1 slight overthrow (off the fingertips and really shoulda been caught).  The RT is HUGE 6'5" 280+ and the rest of the o-line is 200-230.  Center is maybe 200.  Pass blocking technique was good...made contact early with good footwork across the board.  Run blocking was not good as Washington's interior line blew up the straight ahead run.  Only successful running plays were QB scrambles and misdirection draw traps (like the one PNG runs where the qb starts to roll right then hands off back to the left on the draw). Defense - Base defense of 4-2-5 and they played cover 3 zone on every play.  Flats were wide open as the 2 strong safeties were good athletes but could not cover that much ground.  Every pass play Wash ran was a flood roll out so at least they were making some smart play calls.  They also got the running game going pretty well.  I wasn't very impressed with any of the defensive lineman of Manvel....RE was probably the best pass rusher and they were average size.  LB's would shoot the A gaps just about every first down.  They missed a lot of tackles but swarmed to the ball and eventually would corral the runner.  The 2 CB's were both REALLY good...one pick 6 one fumble return td.  Couldn't get much of a read on the FS as he played centerfield 15-20 yards off the line and they never really challenged him.   All that being said Manvel was a pretty formidable team.  They have athletes everywhere, are well coached, and have what looks like a lot of depth.  They rotated so many players that I couldn't tell who the starters really were or if anyone was playing both ways.  They've got a lot of players.  Defense didn't look as good as the offense.  Wasn't a very good read team though as Washington would have had a really tough time beating Baytown Lee....looked like they were drawing up plays in the huddle.
 8. 35-21 LT.  5 possessions, 5 Td's for LT.
 9. Fumble reuturn td 46-0. 2 min. Wash has 4 fumbles and 2 picks. All 4 fumbles were just dropped w/ no contact. One rb was out in front for a td and just dropped the ball at the 10.
 10. 90 yard screen pass 32-0 manvel. They throw deep just about every play. Mix in some draws but run once they get in the red zone. They can't score from close against wash. That being said qb run up the middle for td 39-0 3 min in 2nd. Wash has quit already.
 11. Pick 6 22-0 start of 2nd. Manvel driving again. Manvel cannot run the ball. Manvel fg attempt good 25-0 7 min 2nd.
 12. Manvel hits the bomb again xp ng 15-0 start of 2
 13. Wash 3 and out manvel 35 yard td. Xp blocked. 9-0 Mavel should win 70-0 wash is terrible.
 14. Manvel gets opening kickoff and settles for 3. 3-0 8 mins 1st. Washington has the LOUDEST 15 person band EVER!
 15. From butler stadium in hisd. For those who might be wondering I'll give a better report later tonight.
 16.
guys from DCTF are picking Tivy. Guess that means LT's got this one in the bag. ;D
DCTF's kiss of death.
 17. Hearing a lot of props for KP.  Most of Beaumont picking them to win....LaMarque chiming in with a close game prediction...Humble stating an opinion along with the facts to back it up.  I'm waiting to hear what Brenham fan thinks??  Brenham didn't play their game and it cost them the win.  Didn't notice KP having that cannon legged kicker making 65 yarders in pre-game in any film....he must've been a senior last year.

 22.

We have owned kp in the past, but still have to bring our a game think we need to mix it up a little this week get the players that brought us here #5,20 & 9 who got the winning td.
I love how #5 fever thinks #5 should see the ball more.   I think that we are saving some plays for #5 and #20 and we will see them utilized when it's big play time.  No reason to show everything to those that are scouting the broncos.  Also, McBride needs the touches against fresh playoff caliber defenses if we want to see the Broncos continue with a balanced (and hard to defend/prepare for) offensive attack. So, what do we know about Kingwood Park other than the fact that they beat Brenham and should not be taken lightly?  Skill positions?  Standout players?  Strengths/Weaknesses?
Kingwood Park Panthers Record: 8-3 Offensive Scheme: Spread/ Pro Style set Note: Have a tendency to utilize multiple offensive sets, expect the majority to be run out of the Spread.  But a Power I and Pistol Formation (Similar to what is run out of Nevada on Power running plays) are seen from time to time.  When in the I or Ace formations, it is generally going to a ISO or Sweep to the outside...or of course play action.   When in the Pistol, it is Zone Read Option...Generally the QB will take it up the middle.   Will also occasionally run two full backs and use #31 Ragan Robichaux as the running back. (Though i tend to believe this is only against weaker opponents.) Key Players on Offense: QB- Zach Vorencamp (6'2 175)  Comp %: 54%   Yards: 1385  TD: 14  INT: 10 RB- Chris Smith(5'9 170)           Attempts: 165   Yards: 1346  TD:14   AVERAGE YPC: 8 WR-Collis Brown (6' 175)           Catches: 28    Yards: 445   TD: 4   WR- Ryan Cooglet (6'3 180)       Catches: 21    Yards: 330  TD: 6 RB/DE Ragan Robichaux (6'1 185)  Attempts: 39  Yards: 320  Average YPC: 8   HIGHLIGHTS: [Hidden Content] Note:  WR Ryan Coogler is a threat in the red zone, is one of Vorencamps go to guys when inside the 20.  Generally favoring him on  a TE Drag on the play action fakes out of the Ace or I Formation.  Rarely does K-park go Spread in the red zone.   Also, Chris smith loves to bounces things outside.  rarely follows full back inside on ISO...Generally tries to run to the edges and hope to make a defender miss. Defensive Scheme: 33 Stack Defensive notes:  Are small up front, and occasionally find the need to put 5 on the line.  Will show multiple defense looks, but their base is the 3-3-5.   Have a weak secondary, but they are quick.  Do well against the run, and have good speed throughout the defense. Key Players: FS-  Ian Ebow (5'11 175) DE- Ragan Robichaux (6'1 185) DB- Cullen Craft (5'11 170) DB- Eric Burciaga (5'11 190) Notes: Ebow and Robichaux are hands down their best defensive players.  They entire unit plays well together, they aren't very big but they have a lot of fight in them.  Cullen Craft is also their return man on special teams, has a set of jets.  He is a danger to take bring it back deep.
Dude...didn't you read this??  Thx to Hum398
 23.

Which is the best way to go,I10 or 105?
Well, if you travel I-10, I'd say bring a friend, maybe 2, so that you can use the HOV lanes.  Remember you will be going into downtown Houston around rush hour and although rush hour is lighter on Friday as lots of folks leave work early, it is still pretty slow moving.
Speaking of Grad....wondering if you're going to make this game?  I was thinking I might stop and pick you up on the way to take advantage of that HOV lane.  If I was coming from Orange I would take I-10 to BW8 and skip downtown...I'd also probably take the Hardy Toll Road as well because traffic actually gets worse on Friday afternoon headed north on 45.  Either way leave early and GL to WOS.
