  1. Congratulations to the Dayton players and coaches....keep going and us fans back here in SETX that can make it to the games will keep pulling for you...great season so far keep it going
  2. I think it was great to have all the posts about Lumberton and think its sad that anyone would act like it was wrong to have some fun supporting a SETX team....but as you have asked a question maybe I can answer it....I have only seen #19 once(last week)...I really didn't think he was anything spectacular....a great football player yes....the reason Waller is where they are...in no way...he can be stopped when he is on offense just as easy as anyone else that plays in that level...many in SETX I think play to that level....on D I honestly didn't think he had anything other than size and intensity....he will make plays....he is a good defensive player but he can't single handedly win the game this week.... My prediction is that if Dayton plays like they have the last part of this season...Waller will be no problem....I have heard from everyone who talked to players say that Dayton is the hardest hitting team they played....Waller is a hard hitting team and I think one of the first to step up to the intensity that Lumberton was playing with.... Basically....I wouldn't worry too much about one player....youv'e got a team of great(fast hard hitting intense) players in Waller....but nothing Dayton can't handle in my opinion
  3. At about 615 Lumberton stands are full with lines of cars trying to park and I just counted 53 fans on Wallers side....maybe 70 now .... either way this crowd is roaring and ready to go .... just over an hour now .... can't wait much longer ....
  4. I'm still eligible according to NCAA rules....I'm young....big....red....but ummm slow....and out of shape(fat)....probably from so many tailgate parties....but if I can stay working full time and play I would shape up starting tomorrow and reenroll at Lamar just to play.... Can't turn down a 6'2"/320 lineman....assuming I shape up and still weigh that much with the muscle other than table muscle.... lol
  5. Looking at the picture it seems that the stands aren't that much smaller than Stallworths stands...they stretch goalline to goal line fromwhat it seems and are I'd say 3/4 of the way up as BS so we can squeeze a good bit in there I bet....We will be fine....if we rap around the sides of teh stadiums our shakers will be that much louder during the opposing teams plays....I think it will work...just plan now if you can stand or if you just have to sit because I bet their will be plenty of fans who can't get there early that must sit for many reasons....just plan to stand if you can....that rhymes...it should be a slogan....ok no it doesn't fit....I'll volunteer to give my seat up....I don't remember sitting at any lumberton games I have been to this year so whats different
  6. I don't know much about either team but I am throwing my vote out for the stangs GO WOS
  7. My thoughts on this game after learning a little about Waller.... I fell that our offense is going to be able to move the ball just fine on the ground and a few in the air when needed....I think any defense would be surprised at the intensity that the offense is playing with right now...instead of running out of bounds when seeing a defense player coming....we take them head on and by the end of the game the defense player is the one shying away....I have seen this in the past four games so yes it is happening Our defense....I think is just as hard hitting as anyone....I think if you asked the three or four LaMarque players that took more than a few seconds to get up if our guys can hit they might let you in on a little known fact that they got knocked the out.... I have no doubt that Waller got where they are because they are big, fast, strong and hard hitting....I bet they are a great team just as LaMarque was but they are also beatable just like LaMarque.... Lumberton has been playing smart high intensity football and if they keep it up(which I see no reason they wouldn't) they have a good chance of coming away with a win We have three great teams from the district who deserve alot of credit...unfortunately PNG had to take on the team that probably will take the rings home this year, fairly early on....Dayton is making great teams look like JV teams....and Lumberton is coming out with intensity that no other teams are expecting or prepared for....along with all our other teams in setx in the playoffs, we should be proud of them all....even the teams that didn't make the playoffs because of loses to teams that are now beating what have been recognized as great teams in the state for quite some time I say we get Hollywood to film a movie about SETX football....any body know anybody in the biz???
  8. Great season Indians....hard for me to say as an ex-BC cardinal from the 4a days but yall had a great team and showed it at every game....come playoffs next year when you make it again I will be rooting for you again
  9. Ok people are getting to worked up....calm down...its ok...the world is still revolving for the timebeing and no one is making threats...its all in good fun....the WOS guy admitted he didnt understand the extent due to people at the game not expalining it througouly enough...its all good now... WOS92 and Nazerath CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG??? Group hug guys group hug >< Or is that too much of a public display
  10. Well I am glad the heat was on the field but as a fan I have yet to regain feeling in my legs...my heater is set at 80 and aparently I am growing old...this time and temperature last year I would have had my AC on...IM GETTING OLDDD AHHHHHHHHH
  11. Ummm I don't mean to ruin the parade but WHERE WAS THE HEAT AND COVER LAST NIGHT!!!!! I was freeeeeeezing....I feel sorry for the PNG fans....the rain and cold is keeping me at home but I will be pulling for you anyways.... How bout Couger Ice Cream instead?? 1 Battered cougar bowl full of whine chill and serve until the next game
  12. Doesn't Rice hold like over 70,000....come Southeast Texas lets fill our half up....we only need PNG, Nederland and Dayton fans and we would have it full.... And about Stallworth....and the tailgate party....I don't think they really let us because before the game started but after the party was essentially over...Goose Creek ISD police told us tailgating isn't allowed....so next week it most likely wouldn't be allowed like it 'was' this week....lets get a check on Rice's policy on tailgate parties.....I may get 'cough cough' sick and have to call in Friday....I feel the cough coming already....
  13. Yea I know what your saying....if we just called a team trashy and all these words for solely losing and showing emotions that would be out of line but in this case I really think anything short of 9000+ letters to LM's school board as well as the UIL is not enough for the way this happened....more so for the mascots actions then the unsportmanship.....sportmanship is something that is taught and players will learn it and live it or will never have it and these few players never had it....and for that reason I think it is safe to say these players had no class.... As for the coaches on LM's side....I thought they acted fine...they tried to go pick up all these players that were down and make them shake hands.... but you can't force anyone to do something that they don't want to do....coaches finally gave up and went to shake hands.... I think a stint in boot camp is about the only thing that could get these few students in line....for LM's sake I hope they were seniors and graduating and that it is made clear to future players that this is not tolerable
  14. I'm not trying to bring this back up but just wanted to explain a little further. There were many LM players on knees probably crying that got up after a little while and congratulated Lumberton. There were about 5 players maybe more that threw helmets on the ground....laid out beating the ground....walked away from the coaches when the coaches went out there and refused to congratulate the Lumberton people....that is a clear cut lack of class and does not belong in High School football....like I said earlier...if I was their coach those few would be painting the bleachers in puke come Monday... Some of the same few were the ones who were taking cheap shots and putting knees in players back after tackles....same ones who would kick the ball before the refs could pick it up....same ones who had just about every personal foul called on them..... While it isn't that LM as a whole showed a lack of class a few players did which caused Lumberton fans(I think) to take it as a lack of class in the whole school.... Now the Mascot was just sick and would have been censored by the FCC had this been broadcasted on air channels
  15. My predictions for this week have been so bad I will stay away from point predictions but I think with the way they are playing Lumberton will be hard to beat for anyone and anywhere....I see a Dayton Lumberton game in the near future....and my recommendation to Dayton is to stop thinking you should have beat Lumberton and things should have been different and all those things that had been said and be prepared for a team that is running on a lot of steam right now....they won't roll over and let you walk over them like you did Texas City(congrats by the way)....
