Thanks j_dog I can probably get it with that tune-in thing WOSdrummer was telling me about.

Dair he go

How about '86 & '87. In '86 WO-S pulled a Silsbee lost the first one and won the playoff game. In '87 WO-S and Kevin Smith & Co. win 3-0. I think.

Mustangs Use Bulldogs Like Household Tool In 30-0 Beatdown....Jasper spokesman Sam Rayburn says "that is the best high school football team I've ever seen." Asked if he had any advice for the Bellville staff, winners over Rusk in a game shortened by the 17 touchdown lead rule and WO-S next opponent Rayburn replied 'yes...evacuate, or if they give you the choice of showing up or jumping in a lion's den wearing a pork chop vest...get fitted for the vest."

They must be in pretty good shape to navigate the schedule they played.

Consider it bursted. Rusk exits bracket stage left this week.

Strength of schedule? Now that is funny. Did they play Carthage more than once? Do they have any common opponents?

Yes the game we got our first dose of Surratt. 4th and 12 from like their own 18, and early. He goes for it and makes it, like he's saying "bring it". Windy, yes but the cold was worse. On the way home I saw a dog stuck to a fire hydrant. Lost to the state champions that night.

Yes and there's Bellville who could win this region and raise an eyebrow or two but it definitely wouldn't be a shocker, not to me anyway.

Good point. Seems like WO-S has had a lot of short fields due to special teams, turnovers and such. Going 75 yards against Jaspers defense is a different animal. And don't talk Carthage yet, we're talking different planet. Should be interesting this week tho.

I agree, kin or no kin Marshall won't be able to hang in this one. Plus anyone able to stay within 3 of the University of Carthage has my attention.

Yeah, got a relative who plays for Marshall and they are a proud bunch they believe they deserve this shot although it will probably end this week at the hands of the mighty Cougars. Just get ready when it comes to "the Cougars shouldn't be here, the only reason they're here......

That's ironic, sounds eerily similar to what Aledo was saying before last year's championship debacle.

Would you call yourself a Pessimist or an optimist. Just wondering, you're always so cheerful.

Then that may explain this: FYI, Eric Dickerson seen being fitted for uniform in back room of Sealy athletic warehouse. Just sayin.

No, unless they get a turnover deep. WO-S 30, Jasper 0.

That would be hard to do. I don't know maybe so.

Sounds like a plan.

Thanks drummer. May your 17 stroke rolls be as smooth and flawless as mine. Go Stangs, pay back that old bully, maybe flatten a buttock or two....yeah, that'll work.

Got a question. When I go to kogt site and listen to live broadcast as in game of the week it plays for about 8 minutes or so and then stops and I have to restart it. Can anybody help me here or is that just how it is? Thanks.

Happy Veterans Day and thank you.

West Orange-Stark takes down LaMarque 42-0, advance to next round. NOTE..This game was played Thursday night and this story ran Friday, we are rerunning the article this morning and despite games played last night this is still the top story. See page 2 for last night's scores.
