In one moronic moment he betrayed his teammates, coaches, family and community and maybe any scholarship consideration he may have had just to bounce chunky head off the carpet.

Another thing to consider. Was it just running into the ref, or the more serious roughing the ref? Possibly even the non foul, pushed into the ref.

Arguments can be made on either side of this and be legit. No doubt this kid deserves the hammer, can't help but feel bad for the team. Just one hypothetical question for the arm chair hanging judges out there....Your team or your son's team is in the state semifinals up by 30 early 4th quarter when one of your linebackers gets a brain fart and body slams a ref. Is your vote still the team death sentence or hold on a minute let's look at this?

The old guard around. For all you old timers who may remember I think WO-S ran that successfully against a very good Jasper team in the '86 region finals in Huntsville. The play was the difference in a close game, if it doesn't work Jasper is state champion that year instead of WO-S.

Appears you got this figured out, got kinfolk, (ex inlaw actually)who has a nephew on one of these lists. Hope he doesn't take it too hard when he finds out it's probably rigged. Just tell him, man you earned it, you didn't play for the championship team, your coach's caring is beyond question, those alone should help your credibility.
