I coach on PNG Purple pee wee and my son lines up and blocks 95% of the time. He is not out getting glory or playing somewhere he shouldn't because I coach. So here is my opinion. If a parent is going to sit on the sidelines and choose to not be involved, not work with their kid to make them better than they need to keep it shut. We are all volunteers putting in time, dealing with some kids who won't listen, some who should not even be playing because it is a safety issue and others who are forced by the same parents who sit in their vehicles and watch practice to play. So if someone wants to yell "daddy ball" get off your butt and come coach or get more involved. Until then, sit in the stands or your car and enjoy the 250 you spent on league fees.

Same for us. Coach went back and watched some video so we know where the blocking break downs were and will fix that. Our kids have to learn to put their nose down and get the 3 or 4 yards instead of bouncing it outside. On defense we played great until after the delay.
-
No doubt but we have scrimmaged PNG-G twice and they wont get beat by Lumberton White. We get HF this season also so it will be interesting to see how they match up with y'all.
-
There is a boy named Cody in my son's class at Woodcrest. He has been there two years but plays for PA-Red. I know they grant waivers but then will turn down a home schooled kid.
-
PA hand picks teams. We all know this. They also pick kids from Mid county and get waivers to let them play in PA. It is all good though. We have about 15 kids that can play and about 10 that have no business being in pads at all. It makes practice horrible. We cant mix the kids enough to get any better.

Defense is at a disadvantage in Pee Wee. The refs let most holding go. Coaches at the line making adjustments to the defense. Literally PA-Reds coach was moving players once they lined up and telling them who to block. PA-Black plays very good defense. I am not sure if many points were scored on them at all last season.
-
We scrimmaged White. They are solid. I think outside PA-Black and the Beaumont team (I can't remember which one) all the teams are capable of competing with each other.
-
We played PA-Red this weekend. They are not on the same level as PA-Black. They beat us (Red) but we had twice as many plays where we held them to a loss or no gain. They would take a broken play to the house and it killed us. Fumbled snaps led to 3 TD's Two for them where they came out of a pile with the ball and scored and one on defense when we fumbled.

Tomball wins by 100. Scoreboard explodes and PN-G fans leave early for the nearest Pappacitos.

PA-Black

Well PA-Red took it to us. We were competing great until the lightning delay. It was 6-0 with 31 seconds until half. Our ball. We came out after the delay and had some bad time managenment. Gave PA the ball with 9 seconds on the 30. One play and a score. 12-0 Start the second half with a ball off our player on the kickoff. PA recovers and scores next play. 18-0 We have a nice drive and with a wet ball in shotgun our QB fumbles. Scoop and score for 25-0. We matched intensity until the lightning delay and deflating score before half when we should have ran the clock out. Good win PA-Red Any other scores?

He isn't.

I said played the closest game in the playoffs. Chiefs won 26-0 in the championship if I recall right. They beat PNG P 18-0 in the 1st round. I have already gave them plenty of props for their play and physicality. PA-red is good but not on the same level as PA-Black.
-
Completely get that. PA-red in new to STJFL. My first look at some of their players was in the 5 on 5 league. That is all I have to go off of. PA-Black is the Chiefs from last year from my understanding. We played them in the playoffs and stayed close until the 4th. They beat us 18-0 closest game they had in the playoffs. PA Red ran sweep left and sweep right with hopes of a broken play mixed in against PA-B. Which is why I said we have to play disciplined.
-
I do not think it will be easy at all. PA-Red should be the favorite. I feel like if we play disciplined we will give them a game. Same in summer 5 on 5. All that speed couldn't do crap against us but watch as our kids ran by them, shut down any passing game they tried and won. PA-Black was the hardest hitting team we saw last year in Pee Wee. They are the real deal. They knocked 2 of our Running Backs out of the game in the 1st half.
-
I have no doubt. We played what is now PA Black in the playoffs last year and up until the 4th quarter gave them all they wanted. They were a very physical team. We have a much better tackling team this year so we have to contain and grind it out on offense. It will be a good game or we won't show up at all and get whipped.
-
Thank you. Our boys got a wake up call against yall. Good luck this week.
-
If we contain the broken plays and our kids play sound on the o-line I think we can beat PA R.
-
Physical speed by definition is speed that doesn't stop at the moment of impact. E=MC2 and other such stuff. Some speed runs out of bounds. Other speed runs by you. Physical speed runs through you with a lot of speed.
-
PA Black beat PA red 6-0 PNG Grey beat Vidor Gold 14-6 That is all I know of.
-
Correction Black won
-
How many kids go both ways for Silsbee? I could see it being close until the 4th quarter
-
I think PA Red won 6-0. I did not get to go. Lots of QB sweeps left and right. Not much else from what I was told.
