  1. No one is whining. Also, I know Lumberton is Vidor's Super Bowl and everything, but your Pirates did beat another team tonight so you might want to think about changing your signature to something else. At it stands, it just looks like you're obsessed with Lumberton. Soulja, you've got the bragging rights on me now until next year. I just went back to the DVR to see the 95-yard return and wanted to throw up in my mouth. Hughes couldn't of been closer to falling on that ball and preventing what turned out to be a fatal 14-point swing. Props to your big boy for being able to pick it up and run the length of the field for 6. Looks like it's PNG and Central's district to win, with Lumberton and Vidor closing out the top 4. Nederland and Livingston could be right there as well, so it should be a fun race.
  2. Commentators just said there has been 15+ fumbles tonight. 5 lost for Lumberton, with the difference in the game being the 85 yard fumble return. Gross.
  3. A victory in itself being down only 7 after a 14-point swing. Lumberton can get it done.
  4. Wow, so Lumberton was about to score? Sweet, a 14 point swing. :
  5. Vidor has seemed to have our number lately. As has Lumberton had Central's. Everyone that is using the Central beat Vidor and Vidor beat Lumberton measuring stick for this game, let me remind you that happened last year as well. Didn't stop Lumberton from beating Central.
  6. ??? I'd say 0 points at the half, and 14 in the game could be classified as stopping them pretty well. Much better than the 56 Central gave up to them, at least. BMTSoulja has picked against Lumberton probably 10 games straight now, and outside of Vidor, it hasn't worked out very well for him. Look for that trend to pick back up on Friday.
  7. Nevermind. Lumberton, kneel down. Ball game. I don't know wtf those guys were talking about.
  8. Radio is reporting that Livingston may have the ball back? Weird. Apparently they're about to get 5 downs.
  9. Livingston hit in the backfield.. Ball game. Lumberton 42 - Livingston 35, F.
  10. 45 yard end around to Keith.. House call. 41-35 Lum, PAT upcoming.
  11. 1. Lumberton (they have owned Central for the past two years; Jags have to earn the top spot, they aren't just given it) 2. Central (see above) 3. Vidor (this is their year, right? Unfortunately, I don't know given that they don't play anyone) 4. PNG (NDNs are back) 5. Nederland (winner of Mid-County Madness gets the final playoff spot) 6. Livingston (honestly know nothing about them) 7. LCM (not enough horses for 20-4A) 8. Ozen (whatever happened to this program?)
  12. The better team won, even though Lumberton didn't really show up on offense. I wasn't really impressed with anything Silsbee had outside of their QB. That guy has to get really frustrated. I can't count how many times after evading the rush, he would put a ball on his reciever's numbers, and they'd drop it. But they should do well in district, as I don't see many 3A defenses containing him as well as Lumberton can. Lumberton needs to get more creative on offense, because the game tonight shouldn't of been close. If you noticed after the first couple possessions, they became very predictable. Sure enough, it resulted in a couple quarters worth of 3-and-outs, which allowed Silsbee to hang around. That is going to be trouble against better teams like Vidor, PNG, etc. Sparks for Lumberton is a player. Had 2 int's tonight, and should of had another (jumped a slant route perfectly, and was probably looking towards the endzone before securing the ball). He reads the field really well, and breaks on the ball better than any safety I've seen at Lumberton in a good while. I'd also like to give him credit on his first pick for being aggressive and going up to get the ball, and not allowing the much bigger WR to bully him for position. Keith's long TD was a beauty. I'd like to see them utilize this kid's speed a little more often to help stretch the field. Overall, I feel confident enough in what I saw to say that Lumberton is once again a player (if not the favorite) in the race for the district title.
  13. I'll be there, looking forward to seeing a rivalry from my high school days being renewed. Lumberton 28 - Silsbee 20.
  14. No way. Didn't Silsbee get pounded last week? I think Lumberton is now battle tested from Barbers Hill, and they take care of business. 31-14 Lumberton.
  15. Didn't go to the game, but was impressed with Hughes ability to stretch the field (even though it was an obviously inferior opponent). He looked really in sync with his recievers from what I saw on the news. Can anyone give an honest assessment of Lumberton's defense?
  16. Silsbee looked pretty good from what I saw on the news. Silsbee v. Lumberton should definitely be the Week 3 Game of the Week.
  17. Nobody hates Dartmouth, Yale, or Columbia basketball. They aren't relevant and don't stick it to other people's teams like Duke does. Let me extend my answer; because they're a bunch of rich, white kids that run and stroke bigger, more athletic teams into the ground. Nerds like J.J. Reddick, Jon Scheyer, Greg Paulus, etc. aren't supposed to be able to outduel 6'7 lottery picks and the fans of those teams can't take it. Lazeek - 9 of Duke's 13 this year are white, and Grant Hill, Tranjon Langdon, Shane Battier, etc. are about as black as Barack Obama.
  18. Because they are a bunch of rich, white kids.
  19. If PNG beat them by 40, I'll take Lumberton by close to the same. I'll be there.
