EC returns 4OL, 3 RB, QB, TE and 2 receivers on offense. On defense 1 safety, 1 Corner, 2 LB and 3 DL
How many of all those returners are actually from EC? How many went there in middle school and how many were recrui... I mean moved there for academics?

Proud of the Warriors for playing through the season and never laying down. Playing seven sophomores is always tough but the experience they gained along with a good group of young guys coming up next season should provide for some competitive ball the next couple of years...Now get in the weight room and get stronger!
No doubt! Warren is definitely on the rise and should be very competitive next after beating up on Kountze!

Totally uncalled for with all the talent they have, you would think there will be some changes on the sidelines for next season....
All the talent was on the sideline with injuries.

what in the world happened to koutze this year, alot of my co-workers and people i knew from down the road said that they would be a playoff contender this year and boy was that way off
I’ve been a Kountze fan for 12+ years now this year was a “up year” talent wise, but next year will be their best year in a while if everyone stays healthy. Me and a couple of the coaches stay in contact 2-3 times a week talking football and here is my outlook to it.
Lost to Kirbyville by 4
Played Trinity without their Best RB. It was 0-0 at halftime
Played Buna without their best RB. Beating them 14-6 at halftime. Lost two starting lineman
Lost to Woodville (#10 in state) by 12 with two starting lineman out
coldsprings whooped their butt. Completely out Played them.
Warren- QB OUT, lineman OUT, best WR out, starting rb out for the game during 1st quarter
This very well could all be considered excuses which is fine, but in my opinion, they competed in every game besides the Coldspring and Warren game. I’ve followed Kountze since my Son Played there 9 years ago and this was the year personally thought they would do something. At the same time, they have pretty much everything coming back so next year should be their year

Closer than I expected

What the heck happened here?

After week two I have a much better insight for this district.
1. Woodville
2. Coldspring
3. Buna
4. Kirbyville
5. Trinity
6. Kountze
7. Warren

We will see but it won’t be 51-0 or as bad as they want I can assure you that. I’m thinking a couple touchdowns favorite not 7
Last year Woodville won 38-6. Woodville is BETTER this year and Kirbyville is worse....

You’ve lost your mind we are not Warren hand
Kirbyville is much better than Warren. What I am saying is the score will be about the same. Woodville is amazing this season..Size, Speed, Athleticism, skill, coaching...

I think they may be able to compete with Anahuac and EC

Who is in Hardin's District?
-
week 2 in district play!!!
Buna - BYE
Kountze/Trinity - As of right now this will be the battle for 5th and 6th place. Could be a close game but I am thinking Kountze offense will be to much for Trinity. Now, will the Lion defense be able to make some stops and be respectable? Trinity is 0-5 but played a tough schedule. This could be the game that wakes them up and makes them compete for a playoff spot. I am going to say this, whichever team loses this game, will basically be OUT of the playoff picture.
Kountze- 41
Trinity - 22
Woodville/Kirbyville - Well, it is Woodville... Best bet for Kirbyville is to just make sure none of theri main players get hurt!! Seriously though, this will be just as bad as the Warren score.
Woodville- 51
Kirbyville - 0
Coldspring/Warren - Unless something weird happens, I am pretty sure Coldsprings takes care of this game pretty easily. I do not think Warren will be able o slow CS RB down one bit. Warren might get a lucky TD in this game, but not enough to compete with CS.
Coldspring - 43
Warren 6
-
Lumberton defense is what will hurt them this game. Their offense is pretty decent.
PAM 37
Lumberton 21
-
Huge game for the district. I think it is a defensive battle! Give me Nederland 17-13
-
Very Impressive but RJ will torch the PAM defense...

-
Central wins a close game with a lot of scoring.
Central 42
Ozen 32
-
I say PNG Jv gets it

I have watched Buna and Kountze both play... Well, I watched Kountze in a scrimmage. I believe Kountze has more athletes and a better offense than Buna and Buna scored 24 on Trinity. I think Kountze will score 35+ and will probably give up 20-24 points. Give me Kountze 37- Trinity 22. Another big week for the district.

I'm proud of our boys for pulling it out. But, dang. This was a very frustrating game to watch. I don't mind close games. In fact, they're awesome....IF they're close because of two solid, evenly matched teams playing great football. But this was sloppy. There were MANY mistakes and MANY penalties from both teams, on both sides of the ball. We have got to get our act together if we're ever going to start being a threat again.
Kountze gave you guys the game imo. Way more mistakes
-
What a game!
-
I was pretty much spot on.
Woodville beat warren 49-0
kirbyville beat Kountze 36-32
buna beat trinity 26-13
coldspring beat Crockett 22-16 (I thought it would be worse than this score.
Still going to be interesting. Now I believe the 2nd seed is definitely up in the air for Buna, Coldspring, Kirbyville, Kountze, and trinity. It’s going to be very interesting to see how this one plays out.

Interesting. I agree they are top notch. Take away the move ins, and are they still top notch?
