1. And in my opinion we will never know what Rabb could have done without Ozen's existence Rabb would say the same thing wins go to the credit of the kids, coaches are only credited with the loses.  He knew the "hand" he was being "dealt" and yet he took the job and the kids that suited up! The issue is, if stump leaves, what is going to attract a coach equal to or greater then him.  Pay?  A full program?  A locked 4a preseason?
 2.

Less money rollin in?  BISD just sent 88 teachers out of state for 5 days to the amount of $200,000.  Aperently they spend it where they want to!!
So now you're complaining about teachers upgrading their work knowledge?
Ya. That's what they did.  Lol When it's tax payer money and bias. ya I'll stand up against that
 3.
Alex Durley was the man! All of the other coaches WB has had have under achieved in my opinion. Jerry Henschel couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag. He had tons of talent during his time and couldn't make it past the first round! Rabb took over and that started the down years to be nice. Stump did have the program going in the right direction, but I think his next move will be for his kids and WB will be searching for someone like an Alex Durley, who can put all of the bs aside and win ballgames.
More opinions used to try and rewrite history..... 1.  Durley is the greatest coach to have been at West Brook.  He has the ring 2.  Henschel did get out of the first round.  Maybe not to the amount of your personal liking?  Not many from this area made it past the city of Aldine in the late 80's early 90's.       86 second round lose to Lamarque 9 to 6.  They lost in the state finals to Plano       87 lost to Aldine Mac 14 to 13 Mac made it to the quarters.       88 lost to Aldine 42 to 14.  They lost in the state finals to Odessa Permian       90 lost in third round to Houston Lamar       91 lost to Aldine Mac 21 to 14       92 lost to Aldine Esinhower 31 to 28. They lost to Converse Judson in the simis. Judson blanked their finals appointment 52 to zip that year.       94 lost in third round to Katy 31 to 28.  They lost in the state finals to Plano. 3.  By now even Soulja and SFA can agree the opening of Ozen did not exactly help Al Rabb.  Besides can you guess who has taken West Brook the farthest in the playoffs since Alex Durley?????     Answer: Al Rabb four rounds in 97 ( same year Ozen opened ) Agree or disagree, say things in ways that make people believe you..... But you can not rewrite documented history
 4. Less money rollin in?  BISD just sent 88 teachers out of state for 5 days to the amount of $200,000.  Aperently they spend it where they want to!!
 5. That's just it......., if it's West Brook your suppose to just take it, like it, and make it work.    But if it happens at Ozen or Central your.............. Oh who are we kidding BISD would not let it happen at Ozen or Central.  West Brook was fortunate Stump was near by when the job became available the first time.    Your wanting a new coach to come in with hands tied and mouth shut and to just take it?????  Cant wait to see the long line waiting for that one.  I'm guessing SFA is calling himself the outside agitator?  And Soulja........you must have reached poster god like statues for your opinions to be seen as "very true".........plleeeeaaaassseee.....guess I've been out of the loop I do recall back on the original smack attack web sight saying there will be a reverberation from Ozen back to WB. I based that on coaching and lack of success.  So ya Soulja I saw it I did not count on the district helping West Brook implode instead of helping it succeed?!?!  Why would a distrct do that??
 6. Does not matter what I want ......you can't do it.  If you have a program why would you not want control from the ground up??  9th grade does not have to be the ground.  With that being said, I would think WB benefits just as much as the other two, as far as, getting kids from other feeders.  Unless it is now exit only and no entry?!?! And it's not middle school control.  It's high school control over the middle school
 7. Don't just say it,explain how it's not true. Coaches at all three schools can go to their feeders talk till they are blue in the face. Give middle school coaches sugestions on what they should run or how to workout.  But the bottom line is the kids go where they want and the coaches coach them how they want. Fact. There are kids on Ozen and Central that went to a feeder school to Central.  So,  why would a head coach even try to install a middle school program for some of the kid to go to another school fighting for the same distrct championship?  ??? What has changed?  Only new thing I read was today.  And that was the earlier post and it sure don't sound favorable to West Brook
 8. Soulja it's been a long time since you and I have had a discussion but you have to know that can not be true for all times.  Suitting up in a 5a uniform does not give you 5a talent. WB was in no way intended to be the "football school" in Beaumont but like I was told dearing the birth of New Hebert.  Win and they show up. But even that does not assure they will just "automatically " come here.  The hand your dealt.  Soulja your killing me.  Everyone else in the area including PA looks at their cards and begins to shufful them a whole two years before BISD schools can even peak.
 9. I would expect it more if you knew who you were getting in the 7th grade.
 10. WB a 5a stepping stone..... And what causes that!!  Well, your pay check can not be any higher then the two 4a schools in your district.  And that amount is not even the top paying job in the area.....  Your glued in to playing a preseason schedule to appease the powers that be......  You have ZERO control of your middle school program......  And in an earlier post I see it's now a one way ticket out with no entry??? I keep hearing the guy on Black Hawk Down. Daylight not dark. No gunships for cover "what's not to like"
 11. What's your record against stump????.........I'ld be for him leaving too.... ;D
 12. They can't open another school right now so I guess their trying to kill it from the inside this time.....
 13. The Brook Rolls On....... What is this Chapter 8??  Chapter 9??

I'm from the South Park/West Brook era which wld be where the majority of those 'New Hebert' recruits would be coming from now a days........  ;)  Loved being around Arthur Lewis!!! Great guy!!
That's just it, you young people have the historical attention span of a gnat.  SP wasn't all that great either.  19 out of 22 starters were from Hebert the first year they opened up which helped them win state in football.  FP/SP not so much....
Hey,  I said 'with all do respect' ....... Young  ;D  ........  If you say so.  Makes me feel better anyway.....  :D ..... The combo took place in '86....... you have 85 in your name........  I didn't say I don't know about the history?  I said I didn't care.  Maybe I should've said....... it don't matter.  I myself have helped beat a few dead horses over these issues.  I don't need someone from where they... combined three schools........ to stay mediocre.....  ;D  ... to educate me on the history of athletics in Beaumont..........  ;)  have a great day!! Hey, Soulja I forgot to add that I'm a big Robert Mitchell fan also!! Good luck this season!! .... HAVE A GREAT SUMMER..... go'na go have mine now {THINKING}(boy i really screwed up starting this thread, I should've re-named it by now).....LOL

 17.
I think the drawing of lines have to do areas that each trustee would represent, not attendance zones for the particular schools.
Ok.....Got'cha, Guess I was reading too fast didn't see trustees involved when I read the first time.......Ok my bad.... topic can go to topic heaven quietly now...... ;D On the recruitment of Ozen athletes.......LOL I believe it was told this way to me, when Ozen (NEW HEBERT) became a school,  "all we have to do is open the doors, that's not recruiting"........ So, in the famous words of Wyatt Earp ( from the movie Tombstone)  "REAP IT!!" ;)
 18. Saw this in The BMT Underprize  ;D  today.  Does this help, hurt or have zero affect on any of the 3 schools Athletically? It's been my understanding, and correct me if I'm wrong, BISD has pretty much been a "District of Choice."  So, does drawing new lines really change anything?  Or, are these lines going to become solid?  How does this effect programs at Central and Ozen??
What the heck are you talking about?  Did you even manage to read any of this stuff? Who's running out of BISD?  Enrollment is doing good.  As I said, this have nothing to do with the current topic...   ::) ::)
Wow, this is turning into a CBT hate thread.  Well hate on hater.  As long as the UIL continues to let everybody in the playoffs, the PN-G's Neds, Lumbertons of the world have a shot of getting in.  If you want not only to win on Fridays but play on Saturdays and maybe Sundays, you send your kid to BISD or PAISD...... 2007 - 2008: 19277 2008 - 2009: 19309 2009 - 2010: 19551 BISD enrollment for the past 3 years Haters.....
