Lumberton vs. Chapel Hill New Caney.

Pretty sure if I'm a back up, especially underclassman and the coach gives me the go ahead I'm going to try my best to accomplish the final goal. I'm not going to kneel down unless MY coach tells me and then I probably won't be thrilled about it.

Let 'em go and when we fill the stands our 12th man will take the game over for us.

LOL, I'm actually shocked, apparently our #6 ranking finally means something when for the first 8 weeks our #7 ranking didn't mean nothing.🤣

This game is easily the 4A-I game of the week, but Carthage and Gilmer take the 4A-II game of the week and probably the overall game of the week. Lumberton has to get a hold of our penalties if not it won't matter if we are better at take aways, CH has the talent to make us pay. Lumberton can do it though.

Actually Lumberton gave up 42 points to St. Thomas, 42 points to Tatum, 31 points to Hamshire-Fannett and everyone else scored less than 30 points with Palestine coming in next with 29 points. St.Thomas was the only loss and they are one of the best private programs in the state.

Turnovers is right in Lumbertons wheel house. I don't know what our turnover numbers are specifically, but I do know we've recovered far more then we've lost. Our defense is very opportunistic when it comes to fumbles, stripping the ball and knocking down passes. More fumble recoveries than interceptions but when they snatch the ball out of the air they make some serious yardage back up the field.

What, no love for Lumberton? We're playing the day after Thanksgiving too.

All these ifs, you guys need to change that to whens when you are talking about Lumberton. I was tempted to get on Chapel Hills page and message the coaches that they could go ahead and have their basketball players start practicing because we're going to send them home this week.

Well, Stafford had a good game plan on the defensive side of the ball and held us to a low score. Next week the guys have to tighten up on those penalties some more although I thought the one pass interference was questionable, I thought it was actually an offensive pass interference and the facemask I kind of thought was incidental. We have the talent to beat these guys, we just need to get the attitude to beat them. We're picked to win by Calpreps 38-35. Just for a little bit of trivia since the first time we got this far was in 2007, I diid a match up and it came out 2022 Lumberton Raiders 35 - 2007 Lumberton Raiders 22.

Well Calpreps was pretty close to right. Picked 8 out of 10 correctly.
