  1. NOBODY on this list could be Brook... Get over mid county, they could not compete. Lumberton is not on this level. They would beat Dayton by at leats two touchdowns. WOS doesn't even belong on the field with the Brook. Earlwick.. Give it a rest, Michaels is as good as advertised. They have a three year starting QB. The best overall player in the are (Garrett). One of the best if not the best coaching staffs. The defense is still better than most in this area out side of Dayton. And, the best WR core in the area. Okay, lets compare that to a mid-county school....PNG. Three year starting qb.......check UnderArmour All American running back.......check Good coaching staff.......check Good aggressive defense......check Not saying PNG would win, because I dont believe that......and we will never find out anyways.....but the 30 point thing is ridiculous. Png did what they had to do against Crosby.....think they kind found themselves and what they are going to be about in the second half this year..........they were not just hanging in there with Crosby the last two quarters.

  3. WOS, PNG, Dayton would give you a fit (when they get into playing form), maybe Lumberton if they are as good as they were last year (havent seen them yet). Plus, some recently, some historically, have much better defenses than the ones you have faced. Sorry Soulja...at least the Central as of late.
  4. No team on this list would come within 30 points of beating West Brook. I agree that West Brook would beat all and win in this district, but to say none of these teams would come within 30 points is a HUGE stretch. If none of these teams could come within 30, you should have no problems winning state. Being that a couple of these teams (especially the 4a's) will probably go deep in the playoffs and maybe state. You havent faced a good run stopping team yet....practically some of the worst. Obviously, you have forgotten about the Lufkin scrimmage. I know, scrimmages don't count, but, we put up 30 in one half against a state ranked team with tons of returning starters whose strength was their defense. Not to mention, they supposedly have THE BEST defensive lineman in the state. Obviously, you have forgotten about the Lufkin scrimmage. Not to mention, they supposedly have THE BEST defensive lineman in the state. Again, I am not saying that Westbrook isnt a great team....and yes, you are right....it was just a scrimmage. But, to say that you could beat the 2nd best team in this area (behind WB) by 30 is a bit obnoxious. You want to turn neutral people, like myself, against your school......that is the fastest way to do it on this board. Some of these teams can effectively run the ball against anybody in the state...eating up clock. Tough to put up 50+ on someone like that.

  7. Kick was blocked up the middle. I didnt personally see it blocked, I just saw the duck. But, talked to several people right after the game (they were on the sidelines), and they knew who blocked it and all.
  8. Is that your true opinion? WOW! You are really reaching.
  9. Yes, but they are a 3a school. A avg/good 4a school should beat a GREAT 3a school.

  12. Lol, gotta love these raiders fans. They share one distict championship with two teams, and FINALLY make the playoffs.......and they are to best team. Thats funny. I'm sure you will take your statement back after BH gets the best of you this week.
  13. No doubt Michael. He is battle tested. Garrett got off to a hot start, but it was against Nederland......which, if they have not tightened up their run defense from last year, it may be happening a lot to them.

  15. Most of Ned's wins in this series come in the last decade.
  16. So you are going with Nederlands fight song also?
  17. Could somebody please listen to Lumbertons fight song, and let me know where it came from. I know I have heard it at the college level or hs level, but I just cant pinpoint it. [Hidden Content] In the meantime, who do you all think has the best fight song in the area?
  18. Just another name calling post by a Bulldog fan....CLASSY :-*. Mooooooom, GoBigBlue1997 is calling people names again.
  19. PNG fan? Hardly.....I am just an avid highschool football fan. I attend 1 game a week, 2 if there is a game on Saturday. And, I try to see a different team every outing. However, I would much rather be a fan of the Indians and wear a purple shirt and clap (like normal fans do) to a fight song, than to be a grown man barking. (<----that is just really strange) Anyway, hope the advantage works for you Ned.
  20. Look, I know they had to get the game in, but at what cost???????Ruining your field. You can bet that if that field meant anything to Nederland, they would not have done it. It's not like the rain just popped up on them. It had been raining all week, and they knew it was going to rain on Thursday too. Move the game to an alternate field....move the game to 5 or 5:30 and play on the practice field. I don't know all of the resources that they do, and I just came up with 2. Had I not wanted my home turf all jacked up, and I was the decision maker, I would have found a way to get the scrimmage in without making a mud pit 1 week before game time.
  21. WOW, , I just drove by the Nederland field, on a delivery, and did they ever ruin that field. The only question I have is WHY?. Why would you all but ruin your field a week before seasons start for a scrimmage game? Why not play on an alternate field? There are two theories behind this. A. They are prepping the field for WO-S. This mud pit is gonna take a lot of speed away from WO-S. What will really be funny is if Nederland starts to water the field Thursday night and Friday morning. That is gonna take a lot of speed away from the Stangs. B. They are soooo jealous that their arch rival across the street now has the best stadium in SETX, that they are going to show the voters exactly why they should vote for the bond. By either one of these theories, it was an immature decision to play on the field and slop it up, at the same time, it seems to be brilliant. I cant think of any other reason, that a team would intentionally mess their field up a week before kickoff.
  22. Before the last couple of seasons, I was thinking that Nederland had probably distanced themselves from the likes of small schools like WO-S over the years. I know WO-S is not the same as the past, so Nederland should win. But after the thumping they took from Jasper, I dont know. I have to go with WO-S....by 10
  23. The last time, I think, TJ played at PNG in 1992, that I can remember. That was when we had just finished up the $1 million dollar track project. However crappy as it was built, at the time it was awesome.....Purple and all. Until, we played TJ. They came over and painted a big maroon TJ on the brand new track.
