  1. WH will surprise a lot of people this year....they have 2 guards that moved in that should take a lot of pressure off of copeland...they r still weak in the post but considering the play of the guards I wouldn't be surprised to see copeland down low dominating in the post....the new coach is a basketball guy he is pretty intelligent and will figure out a way to take pressure off of copeland and open up a lot for the offense....I say spurger, WH, HD or SP fighting for 3rd in the district...I don't really see evadale competing because the district is too athletic
  2. Its looking bad...bremond is a good team..but don't think they will make a shot at a state title.....bremond 24 oilers 0 wit 4 min. left in first quarter
  3. Ok...well I hate HD as much as the next guy and im going to make this prediction stated on facts and not emotions....I have watched film of Mart against some tough teams and I have also seen HD play....HD is a decent 1A team, im not taking that away from them but Mart would be a great 2A team...HD may be able to keep it from getting embarassing but my prediction is Mart 47 HD 14
  4. West Hardin has yet to play a complete game... they have put together drives in order to win, but they havent had to, they have been lowering themselves to their competition. H.I. has showed alot of improvement under Coach Colten and through the next couple of years under his direction and with some athletes could prove to be a district favorite. With that being said i agree with the wise one except I dont see it being a 20 plus game. WH by atleast 2 scores.
  5. Well I see things differently, I just graduated from High School and my buddies and I would debate this very topic all the time. Small school kids around here do not get a chance to go anywhere. I understand that they arent the players that big schools would look at, but i know of alot of pretty good 1A-3A kids who dont go anywhere. I know Kelby Shandy Kirby from Anahuac was pretty dang good and he suffered an injury and is not playing any where right now and from what I hear he is still as fast as he ever was. So lets use him as an example, all those people from Anahuac that supported this kid will more than likely come to the games just to get to see him play again. If you are Lamar, you recruit from within the Golden Triangle and get the attendance up, because all the people from these surrounding areas will come watch their High School star play again. I mean that is where the basketball program is going wrong also, they complain about attendance when we have so many good players in our area, RECRUIT FROM WITHIN....
  6. Ok.. I tried staying off of here, but I did not want to give HD the pleasure of thinking that they had any part in the success of me and my brother, Thomas.... Yes, Thomas and I were raised in HD we lived there from K until I was in First grade and my brother was in the Fifth grade.... Well several factors led to us moving one was the fact that the HD Pee Wee coach turned down the two of us for little league football... they played the excuse that they had too many players and we could go find somewhere else to play... so to all those that think HD had a part in us being good you are totally wrong... and another reason why we left is because my brother had a problem with a teacher at HD elementary... so we checked out and home schooled for a year... We decided that we did not like that and transferred to WH and have been nothing less than loved and welcomed every since.... and i believe that my brother feels the same as I do about this subject... if anybody should receive credit it would be our Pee Wee coaches Bill Wright and Dale Miller... not only did they influence our style and toughness, but they instilled Respect, Character, Leadership and Heart into our lives...and for those who are bad mouthing this years team... I have not seen any drop off in this years team Tubbs has just as many yards as I did last year up to this point and Tyler looks to show the same leadership qualities as Brandon did this year.. We all had our shining moments and our glory these players this year deserve just as much credit as everyone else has received in the past so lets focus on what is now and not what used to be.
